I have talked to many Sindhi muslim brothers and sisters from Pakistan and they told me Koki is only made by Sindhi Hindus. They had Hindu friends in Khairpur who shared Koki with them. And yes, we have heard of Busri. We also have it.

Daal pakwan is one of my favorite comfort foods. As i belong to kutch-gujarat, there is a large sindhi community here. They make the best dal pakwan and chhola chaap. Thanks for introducing it to those who were unaware of this delicious sindhi heritage 🥰

Hey i experimented for years, I think I finally made Pav Bhaji thats tastes good without onion and garlic, see what you think please... 150g mixed veg (pressure cooked 4 whistles) (check if cooked) 150g Potatoes (pressure cooked 5 whistles) (check if cooked) 150g cauliflour (pressure cooked 5 whistles) (check if cooked) 150g tomatoes 75g Butter (salted) 15g corriander 2tsp Pav Bhaji Masala 1tsp kashimiri red chilli powder or red chilli powder 1/2tsp Ginger 1/2tsp Hing (asofodita) 1tsp Lemon Juice 1tsp salt Melt 37G Butter in Pan and add 1/2tsp hing saute then add 1/2 ginger. Add the mixed veg only (not the potatoes or cauliflour), then add 1/2 salt and 1tsp pav bhaji masala. Cook and use masher to mix the bhaji up. Do this for 5 mins. Then add chopped tomatoes and mash again for further 2-3 mins. *longer is better add water if needed. Finanally add the potatoes and cauliflour and 1tsp kashimi red chilli powder and 1tsp Pav Bhaji Masala and 1/2 salt. Mash again for 3-4 mins. Add water add simmer for 10 mins. Lastly add 15g fresh chopped corriander and 1tsp lemon juice. Tip: You do need add water to this dish, it effects the taste simply by adding more water. (try not chop corraider too much it effects the taste)

Remember the lunch that my Sindhi colleagues in my previous office shared with me. It was heavenly. And yes I do make sindhi kadhi quite often ,,,,more on tomatotangy ness which I learnt from her and it's one of the comfort dishes for me with hot rice or chapatis ,phulkas....anything.... alu tuk ....yes I have had and made too ....couple of times ,....but not the deep fried version ...I basically cut into 4s and cook them on slow fire with jeera and green chillies and hing and kadi patta ....its super yum with added salt and chilli powder.....again best combo with ghee phulkas ....😍

Shweta, excellent video. Crisp with good coverage. Koki took my mind away. If drooling was not enough I had cans of water in my mouth. Earmarked for making at home fingers crossed. Thali was very simple but flavourful. I was wondering if tamrind you put for tangy taste generally do we get in outlets? I doubt but I love tamrind and noted that Kadhi can have it. Dal Pakwan crunch and your expression said it all, yup it's your all time comfort food. I was craving for papad finally you covered it in evening part. Is there some Sindhi variety for Papad then let me know I wanna explore. Loved the video and yes part 2 is a must.

Tamarind is mostly added even outside. Although some may add kokam or lemon or even dry Mango slices. There is this homemade Sindhi papad that we have..I don't know how to make it but will surely try to show some day
