Sinead O'Conner - 3 Babies - Vicar St, Dublin 27th October 2019

I was shocked to hear about poor Sinead's passing this evening. I first saw Sinead as 15 or 16 year old singing with TonTon Macoute in some pub in town and she was incredible. A very beautiful thin girl with enormous eyes and an enormous voice. It was one of those occasions when you just know that you have witnessed something very special. I've seen her a number of times since and have met her now and again walking in Bray where she lived for many years. Always a beaming smile and a 'hello'. I last saw her in Vicar St in 2019, at what turned out to be one of her very last shows. So she has been part of my music world for about 40 years and I will miss her.
