Devastated by this morning’s news of Sinead’s passing and this song hits even harder now. She seemed like such a deep, intelligent, warm human being who was too sensitive for this world. Or maybe the world was just too hardened to appreciate her pure honesty and artistry. I hope she is at peace wherever she is now, and is reunited with her boy ❤

In case anyone is wondering, she said in an interview the 8 good reasons to stick around were the eyes of her 4 children. With the loss of her son, the 8 were reduced to 6 and it was just too much to bear. 💔

Oh Sinead...no. I wanted those eight good reasons to be enough. I wish they'd been enough. My heart is absolutely shattered. I understand that it didn't help and couldn't heal your pain, but even so, I hope you knew how many of us loved you, were in awe of you, were blown away by your talent, your bravery, your fierce individuality and commitment to being only your most authentic self at all times. I treasured the example you set of calling out all the ways the world is broken, of admitting your pain and vulnerability, of pouring your inner life into your art. There will never be another you. Oh, man...it feels SO GOOD to see her smile, and hear her embracing whatever good is left in this crazy world. I've been inspired by her courage to use her voice and her celebrity to speak out against her abusers (priests/pope and everyone who turned a blind eye to the sexual, mental, spiritual, social, abuse that was/is perpetrated by clergy, and other corrupt authority figures) and to speak out against systemic racism and the abuse of People of Color by law enforcement officers all over the world. She's been mistreated, gaslit, alienated, misrepresented, targeted, and been subjected to terrible treatment by her own family. She is strong, and she has assumed the role of advocate and ally to all who are victims of injustice. She's a true warrior out in the world defending you, me, POC, Herself, and every marginalized person, who struggles to find people who will stand with them through the uncertain times, even when it doesn't seem safe, or if you have been ostracized by your community.

This song become so much more poignant after Sinead took her life. As she so rightly says in this song - "You know Im not from this place. From a different time different space". She was an old soul. A true Lightworker. Rest Truly in Peace,beautiful soul 😭
