I was familiar with Sinead and found her intriguing back in the early 90's, but never listened to her albums until now. Wow! I love "The Lion and the Cobra", it's great and still holds up. Since her death, I've read articles and watched many videos about her beliefs and her life. I've been so taken with her...what an incredible woman! RIP Sinead ❤

I've always felt some kind of deep connection between the two culture, though they are far away from each other... a great deal of suffering over many centuries, both experienced genocide (mid-1800s, 1915)... both peoples have so much warmth. I sometimes wonder if people from countries like the USA, who are more used to unaproachable pop stars have any idea how down-to-earth Sinéad actually was. I come from the same town as Sinéad and it was normal to see her out and about, at the grocery store or just walking somewhere. She would sit in her front yard during the covid lockdown and chat with people just passing by. She was totally unassuming and would acknowledge your 'Hi Sinéad' with a Hi back, just like any other normal person. Nobody bothered her for autographs or such nonsence.
