Your music has been a comfort during the tormenting bouts of insanity and your life was an inspiration which I always strove to imitate during my brief moments of lucidity. My heart is beyond broken! You paid your dues and the whole world owes you! The world lost its fiercest warrior today. More a man than any man, a great brother in time of need, and a mother/father of the church that was most sorely needed. Thank you for tearing down Popes that needed to be, and thank you for not bowing before any king! I love you S.O.!

Well said! She was a beautiful soul and her strength will carry on. And her amazing music will live in our hearts and ears forever!❤❤😢

@@daisypooch4034 thank you! Her grief over her son made me, an unloved son, feel loved. She reminded me of the love of a mother, which plugged up the whole where my humanity was pouring out. The hole was a hole my mother made and it was a hole only a mother could fix. Never hugs or comfort from my mother, but the song My Darling Child is the lullaby I never got and always needed and will cherish until the end of my days. I love Momma O’Connor!

I can't over-emphasize what a breath of fresh air Sinead's music was in the late eighties. The Clash and Talking Heads had long since broken up...oh how we needed her then!

I still have the cassette too. It is in my car, I thought I'd lost it years ago, met someone from my long ago, and I had given it to them all those years past. She gave it back to me, it was weird to hold something that meant so much to me in my hands.

End title incorrectly dates this 1997. It was released in 1986 when sinead was 19 years old, predating her albums and the joshua tree
@KonanBF2 Жыл бұрын
You are so right, I just added a correction to the description, thank you. (the mistake was made when I downloaded the music... it referred 1997 because it was linked to the album "The Best of Sinnead O'Connor" that its from 1997)

Amazing song but my comment is not gonna be about this song . Instead i will comment about the entire futility of wars for regular John and Jane(Doe) . 80 % of population was and still is ,treated as expendables .Whilst church is becoming more powerful in meadieval times and governments (today) spend incredible amounts of money , on secret projects there is no abundance left for regular folks like me and you . 1984 at its best !

Historically the British and the French are of the same blood after the Norman Invasion of 1066. Fucking religion still divides parts of the Commonwealth. I took two back to back graduate courses on English History even though I had finished my Masters degree because I wanted to understand the country that gave rise to our birth. You can't understand US origins without studying the political and religious attitudes of Europe, particularly Britain, at that time. Remember in France the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre and subsequent cover-up? Statecraft at its best and worst. My conclusion? Both sides Protestant and Catholic are delusional. As Orwell wrote in 1984, the purpose of war is to expend excess capital in order to keep the poor in their rightful places thus maintaining noble rule. The British Empire and its remnants are BLOODY shameful. I do love Sinead's version of "All Apologies" which is my favorite of favorites by Nirvana. Love the female touch to a great song.
