I've been practicing this for more than a week and it definitely helps. I also find that seems like HEY is easier to carry on than other vowels like AH. I can hit B4 bty HEY yet only G4 by AH. Not sure if anyone else have the same problems?

Tara!! I just love your tutorial videos! Will definitely have to try this. Do you have any tips/advice (or you can make a video) on how to sing with modern-persistent asthma? I was just diagnosed with it in February as well as Endometriosis. I’m not a professional singer or anything. I just love singing at home, but would love to sing better! ♥️ I want my voice to sound like yours. ☺️

Kim Demos My wife had endometriosis and had to have an abrasion. They tried to talk her into a hysterectomy before we even had a kid, but she refused and we still had a kid against all odds. Will pray for you!

Awe thank you so so much!! You’re so sweet! So far I’ve just had one laparoscopic surgery with ablasion removal. That was in February and now it came back even worse than before😢. I’m so glad you were able to still have kids!! ☺️

its probably because you were lacking proper breath support. As much as this video focused on the mindset of belt (which is an important part of belting, dont get me wrong), imo, the video should have also focused on proper breath support and mitigating strain. You can probably find other videos about breath support and strain on this channel.

Thank you so much for your video. I much appreciate it. I have a question. I can hit C5 good and even D with my chest voice but just for a second, I can’t hold it. And I feel like I could go higher, but my throat gets contracted and I don’t do the right placement. Also, I can’t sing quietly those high notes. The only way I can go higher is if I do it louder. if you're using phone recorders, it will always sound somewhat weird, because the microphone of our phones slightly affect the recording, so it will always sound weird. so don't worry too much about that :) if you sound good to yourself, that's what matters!
