I have a problem I've never heard of and can't find any materials to solve I'm hoping you can help with. 10 years ago I noticed raspiness and my voice but I sang through it because I didn't understand that that was not good, and I'm now even with long breaks and just singing in my strong chest voice for years, I seem to have lost the entire upper half of my range which used to be three octaves. An acquaintance from another state who's a voice teacher suggested that I should go back to supporting it and trying to sing but I seem to only be able to get a fairly faint falsetto even though I can still do the phrasing of Handel's Messiah which I know well... So I don't just have the run of the mill need more volume problem, I have almost no volume whatsoever on the upper half of my range and a terrible transition between the chest wasting the head voice. Please help me! Not being able to sing personally or professionally has just crushed me and made me feel voiceless in life. 😭

All the playlists you’ve just recommended probably are going to answer some of my problems, THANK YOU. Especially on the throat tension. I gotta lay off singing for now though because I might have acid reflux, gotta fix that first. I hope any damage to my voice isn’t permanent 🥹 wish me luck and health. ITS LITERALLY SO HARD NOT TO SING.

Only been watching you for two days and I can already hear the improvements in my voice. Still got a away to go but I can now sing some of the more challenging songs from British singer James Bay, which I struggled on certain bits before. I am just trying to figure out what I need to do for the high parts of the song.

I just found your channel this evening and it's great! Thank you so much for sharing your talents. I've been singing for about 14 years and I'm in my mid '60s now. I've done a little bit of professional work but mainly it was volunteer such as nursing homes. I was wondering if you have tips on how to handle allergies and sinus drainage. That's my biggest problem as I've gotten older. I was asked to sing at church but I don't do well in the morning with my voice at all.

Hey Victoria! Do u offer one to one lessons? I am struggling with my head voice. Im a male baritone. I used to have a very full thick head voice a couple of months ago, but now as soon as a hit E5 my head voice becomes scratchy. And it’s overall weaker and doesn’t resonant like it used to. I would also like to learn to hold my belts longer. I’ve watched several of your videos, including the one covering head voices. I was just wondering if u do lessons?

Is it okay to practice for 2-3 hours per day??? And I still don't know what to do or practice within those hours.... I mean , I want to have a proper schedule on what to practice daily...
@megan67943 жыл бұрын
figure out what your voice needs to improve. is it breathing ? belting ? resonance ? vocal fold closure ? pick out what you want to work on then go from there. i felt like that aswell but as soon as i figured out what my voice needed & put it into practice it all fell into place. hope that helps!
@Victoria-Victorious3 жыл бұрын
I think 2-3 hours a day is excessive. If you are a beginner, that is certainly way too much. You will get more out of practicing "smart" in shorter sessions, even if you do it twice a day. I always try to get e4 but ı can't. I've watched your all videos. My problem is that, when I try to make your exercises and to relax, I lose my control and my voice is passing to falsetto. I can understand what you want to tell but my larynx is so stubborn to be high position. I've given up and ı choose the songs which the last note is d#4.high notes have been a dream for me...
@Victoria-Victorious3 жыл бұрын
It's okay! Just work your way up little by little, paying attention to what you do in your middle voice because that sets up what will happen in your high notes. Watch all of my videos on high notes AND mixed voice. It sounds like you have not figured out how to thin out your chest voice.
@gabiocampo6639 Жыл бұрын
thank u for these suggestions, I have have question, I know how to impose the voice with twuangs and ññi, and nei, but the highter I go, for some reason, it gets softer and I turn doingo belting. im a mezzo, why is that, seems like i ca t go highter..I can make a E5 note

Without seeing or hearing you, it sounds like you need to work on your mixed voice, especially head mix. See my playlist on the Mixed Voice and also on Better High Notes.
