But in the meantime, Singapore Airlines has returned all of its grounded A380’s to the skies over the past two years and has invested another huge sum of 850 million dollars in them. A clear indication that the airline has a long-term strategy in place for its A380’s.

I think what you have covered in the content as in May 2024, is NOT “SHOCKING to the aviation industry” but merely an exaggeration to trick audience into viewing your video. The beginning amounts of A380’s does not make sense. At first the narrator stated there were 12 A380’s, then he stated SA had 14 A380’s. So how many A380’s does SA have, 12 or 14.😊

First and foremost!! Boeing should be able to deliver the 777x aeroplanes!! They have huge issues and I don't see them delivering anything to Singapore airlines before 2028 if everything goes well which by itself is a big question which needs to be answered... Simultaneously Comac are coming up with the C939 and C929 which might turn the interest of specially the Asian flight operators towards them which could be a big hit specially for Boeing. This might start the beginning of the end of Boeing in the commercial space

No, because twin engine planes were cleared to fly over oceans far from land, it became feasible to fly direct between more airports on long routes with lower demand with smaller planes. Airbus designed the plane for the expectations of the 1990 market, but by 2010 congested air hubs with passengers changing flights for another leg were less popular.

@@RobBCactive here's one to consider. Correct me if I'm wrong. Etops run at 180 minutes. That's 3 hours. Middle of the Indian Ocean from Australia to South Africa I'm certain is more than 3 hours to land. Same New Zealand to South America. Give me 4 engines and screw the bean counters.

You will comfortable, low engine noise, lower altitude pressurisation. Wider seats, more space . Fellow passengers are happy. You will be happy too. Because everyone else is happy in A380. SIA used to have 19 inch economy seats in the first generation A380 planes. Now I think they standardised it to 18 inch economy throughout.

Passenger love of the A380 is part of the reason for reintroduction, but by no means the main reason. The main reason is those clown heads over at Boeing have somehow forgotten how to make planes, and there is a huge backlog of new planes.

Qantas has replaced most of its Australia to US trips from A380 to 787 and the 787 is horrible by comparison.
