This is the most eventful National Day and the sudden downpour adds to the excitement. I am glad to have captured the faces of people joining in the celebrations in their own way. The jets, canons, boats and fireworks were cool. Leila, thanks for your support and comment 😀

On Singapore’s 59th birthday, people of all races and religions gathered at Marina Bay to celebrate the nation’s birthday. People spread their mats, shared food and drink, and the air was buzzing with joy. The video camera moved slowly, capturing people’s facial expressions, the celebratory moment they shared. As if summoned by the energy of the day, a sudden downpour drenched the scene, but the rain was a natural rhythm, and your video camera continued to record it! The National Day’s symbolic Flag flypast, the roar of the F16s, the descent of the parachute team “Red Lions,” and the Coastal Police moving below on the sea-your video camera captured each moment with precision.☝️✨ Finally, the curtain has closed with the beautiful imagery of fireworks.🎆 Yosh and Iku

the show really did go on despite the heavy downpour earlier thus cooling down the parade environment. after a few years of cancellations due to adverse weather, the red lions finally dived into the Padang stage after the skies made way for them from the heavy rain. perhaps, you could have brought an umbrella in case of rain at the venue so that you wouldn't get fully drenched by the rain! of course, there will be another round of fireworks at marina bay marking the end of the f1 race in September after the waving of the chequered flag.

Where do you think would be a good position to record the F1 Fireworks? I have not done this before.

@@SingaporeCityWalkseither at the gardens by the bay (behind the cooled conservatories) or bay east garden as the fireworks begin igniting along the main pit grandstand at the moment the race leader crosses the finish line at the final lap.

From the video you see lots of foreign domestic workers, foreign workers and tourists. There are lots of locals too.

too much smoke covered the fireworks; no fun watching the live fireworks display, should release the fireworks at longer interval
