It would be great if there is a Point based PR system like Canada or ANZ has for skilled category!

@@heysingapore5693May be there is no such PR system is becasue the fear might be if such PR is given without job in Hand and if new migrant's don't find a job in time they will be a burden ! but then how come Canada and ANZ donl;t have that fear? they take that risk....there used to be "landed PR" I think but the barrier was so high ...!

@@jiti5034 now Canada and Australia are also not so easy. Ex, my friend’s daughter has got PR recently after working in Canada for 3 years after graduating UBC.

@@heysingapore5693 Sure it is strict but it at least has a Skilled based PR system without a need to have a job upfront.. and PR to Citizenship is encouraged! and easy at least in ANZ, not sure about Canada ...ok may be Canada and ANZ reason is to increase population , and it may not apply to Singapore ! Fair enough!

In the past getting a temp working permit / pass was easier in Singapore than in ANZ region that made me think that PR would be also easier,, but it is not! Also as an Investment Migration the barrier in Singapore is higher as compared to USA and ANZ, USA it is currently 500K USd, Singapore = 2.5 MIllion!

So from your experience would you recommend young people to become a PR in Singapore?
@heysingapore5693
@heysingapore5693 2 жыл бұрын
For young people, I guess there’s nothing to lose. The biggest draw-back for most people is your son (if he also becomes PR with you) to do NS. Other than that, it’s really beneficial.

Call CPF board and check out the status. If your father has nominated the receiver before he passed away, CPF money will be transferred to the nominee. If not, it will first go into trustee office. Then you will need to claim CPF money. www.cpf.gov.sg/member/account-services/account-closure/paying-out-cpf-when-you-pass-away
