Lovely video, as ever - thanks. They continue to make the point that there is so much more to Singapore than Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa, the Zoo, etc. I've only scratched the surface, at Ang Mo Kio and Toa Payoh, and I'd love to explore more. But until I can, I'll continue enjoying your videos. Also, I've just noticed a comment on the TEL Stage 2 info web page that says that TEL trains have "5 doors each side instead of the usual 4", thus making it easier & quicker for passengers to get on and off. Maybe that's why there are no signs on the station floors? (Although Jonty could well be right.)

Hello, a toy often gets to tour Singapore with us. Good spot!! I didn't know those lines still have drivers! wow Are they some of the first lines or train services? I wonder if they'll bring in new automated trains along those lines.
@STANSAT10N
@STANSAT10N 2 жыл бұрын
@@WONDERLUSTworld yes those were the original 2 lines that were built in the 1980s, the trains uses Automatic Train Operation (ATO) which is the same system as the Underground’s Central Line, back then they were only running them in Semi Automated Operation Mode (STO) so yes the trains are automatically driven but the train captain are the ones closing the doors and taking over if there’s any disruption. After the signalling system upgrade in 2017 they are now running them in Unattended Train Operation (UTO) which the name suggests they are technically fully driverless now, but an attendant will still be present to supervise since most of the sections are above ground.

Very good show!!! Love it. Did you know about the art works within all the stations along Thomson-East Coast Line were specially commissioned. Perhaps you would like to ponder on the idea on doing this as a subject? I suspect you may want to contact the MRT Corp for permission. Who knows? Maybe they might help you out with some literature on this subject. Just my suggestion. That Ampang Yong Tau Fu Eating House has been around for very long time, its taste is almost like that of Ampang in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Thought you might like to review this as well. As usual, have a great weekend. Stay safe and healthy.

that's really offensive to impose these immoral views on impressionable children... this whole "asian values" thing is a tool used to justify things like a poor state social safety net (because oh children are supposed to care for their parents), when really no one should listen or follow older people/parents when usually its the old who are intolerant, uneducated and unevolved.
