I notice your satay did not come with compressed rice wrapped in some kind of leave into a square. Dip that in the peanut sauce and makes your satay meal perfect. And oh, you forgot to squeeze the lime onto the noodles. That would have made the hokkien noodles taste even yummier!

I'm no expert, a total noob to the international food world, but the food in Singapore and JB Malaysia seriously changed my life. SOOOOOOOOO much fresh AMAZING new foods to me. Can't wait to get back there and work my way on up Malaysia and into Thailand and Vietnam and so on... I ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOOOOOOVE with all the different chili sauces there. They're offered with everything. I'm a ketchup nut, and I think I only had it once with some fries while I was there. That's a miracle for me...haha Zero question for me, number one would be the noodle dish, followed by the meat skewers.

There is no kueh lapis here. That is an Indonesian cake. The nonya kueh is called 9 layer cake in Chinese. As a kid, we usually peel each layer and eat each layer separately.

I love how you describe and show/film all the food! My favourite is the fried carrot cake. The black version is usually sweeter, due to the black sweet sauce they use to fry it, while the white version is saltier, from the preserved radish. YUM!
