Honestly, this video is the first in a very long time that I truly appreciate from the Singapore KZbin Community. Sure, looking at the length of the video was a turn off as personally I do not have the focus and patience to sit through a 20 minute long video talking about opinions of a issue that i truly don't care about. But what made this video great was how it directly corresponds to what many people think about society these days but could not find a way to express it or how it changes the mindset of a person. I belong to the first group of people who personally thought about this issue but don't have a person i could share that thought with. That thought would be how society is truly going on a dangerous path. Let's start with the social media platform I used the most, Twitter. When i was in Secondary school about 6 years back, I started using twitter due to more and more cool kids using it (come on, that's how most people get hooked onto shit). Back then, I was younger and the great thing about youth is you don't think before you speak and honestly, don't care about the consequences of the things you say. I was able to post my feelings and opinions of myself and the people in my life freely. I mean isn't that the point of a social media platform, to share your opinions with others. But as i grew older, i started noticing more and more people shaming other's opinions for attention. I then knew that if i continued what i was doing. I would end up as one of the victims in the future. Thus, i started tweeting lesser and lesser and found that the community totally destroyed the point of twitter. One of the examples i would like to raise is how more and more young teens are starting to get on social media. Being young like a said before, actions before thought. This leads to socially unacceptable things said. And then, this is where assholes come in and start to screenshot their tweets and posting some dick comments about how they weren't such problematic shitholes when they were younger. I mean like fuck, who cares about how you were when you are younger. Does arguing with people half your age then posting it on your social media make you a better person now? From my opinion, you are using the opinions of majority to stomp on the opinions and thoughts of a kid. Like what the fuck man. At this point, it is not even about how sensitive a person is, it is more about stepping on a person(a kid no less) to further attract attention for yourself. Attracting attention is not bad thing, people who know me yeah knows i like attention but fuck, i dont think that is a proper way of doing that. Society is moving towards a dangerous direction. But i don't think posting this video would have any impact on the path it is moving along but thank fking god i finally have someone with opinions so similar to mine and it feels great not to feel so alone talking about this issue. I would just like to say great video and I personally would like more videos like this. Thank you

Cos I felt like that wasn't shade; he was calling what they did 'shade', but not actually shading them. It's different. But if you meant 11:04, then I agree that he did throw shade at that point. And at 11:29 when Naomi says she hates to take part in drama -> no one actually knows if she really does hate that ("cos u can't see the inside of her mind"), so I guess we can't say she lied (but ur opinion remains ur opinion). And at 13:29 I don't think saying one got backstabbed is shade at all. You're just sharing with others the fact that u got attacked/hurt, but not necessarily targeting/dissing anyone. (u may wanna check the meaning of 'shade' in the urban dict~) The part after that (abt Eden) was actually quite funny xD And I like ur last part too! By saying he was back stabbed is like saying that JH is not a good Friend and is a shitty person ... that's definitely shade thrown.... I'm not a fan of any of these influencers I followed XX since 2009 and I never look at any influencers ever since. I tried to read some blogs and I chanced upon Naomi's blogpost addressing smokers and how smoking is bad for health... I almost fell asleep!!! Which is why I love XX so much!! She doesn't act like she's such a good role model. XX has never been a good role model for anyone but that's the exact reason why I like her. Because fuck what everyone thinks about you. Then he said he is taking the high road by not responding w shading them back for what they did to him. Then proceed national day rally. I think he fits into the criteria too. As for Naomi, I have mentioned that she herself probably believes she doesn't like drama, but nobody else does. She has a long history of tweeting/blogging stuff about people, so I won't believe she doesn't like drama.

I find the media, influencers, celebrities, all really quite vapid and not worth paying much attention to unless it is to know what is happening in the world and to understand it. BUT the more I watch Xia Xue ramble the more I love her. Ever since Guide to Life she's proven her worth and aptitude in this regard though so many people hate on her, esp the younger generation who think "huh u mean that auntie ah". Yes I belong to that younger generation but she has so much more depth than those so called "influencers" who people watch and follow but fundamentally don't really care about! LOVE XIAXUE!!

i agree, but then we all learn in school that calling someone ugly is verbal bullying right? having someone discuss about how unattractive you are coupled with them commenting on your ugliness is bullying. so I think it is right for the "victims" to call out the "bully" as long as whatever is mentioned isn't hypocritical. just bc someone calls out the bully doesn't necessarily make him or her a bully. people like jianhao etc should be more considerate of others imo. I know that they just want views and drama but if they're not considerate of other people's feelings & insult others it makes them a bully.
