I have that Scott Barnes yellow blush -- it's fantastic for warming up and muting a too-strong pink or red on my pale skin. It also adds richness of depth to the shade.

The persimmon as a mixer: stunning. Gorgeous on you.
@giantcupofcoffee2 ай бұрын
The persimmon blush reminds me of how I (coolish olive) use lavender blush. My skin doesn’t naturally flush and “natural” blush tones don’t really have a place in the palette of my complexion, but a sheer sweep of lavender makes me look healthy and awake. You can’t see it but it makes a difference. I wonder if the persimmon serves a similar color correction purpose for other complexions. (For the record, my everyday blush is the Em stick in Terra, which turns rosy on me.)

I’m a pale neutral-to-warm olive, and I’ve found that pink “rosy” blushes never look right on me, but both orangey-rusty-brown type colors and purpley mauves feel “natural” to my skin tone. Just depends on the mood of my other makeup that day!

I looked it up because of this comment and I was just curious in general- he uses the yellow to tone down red (interesting since yellow cancels out purple on the color wheel?) and also to color mix with other blushes, to get pinks more peach, etc etc.

I really like the quality of these precisely because they don't emphasize texture. Also find all four colours to be highly wearable, plus the Persistent Persimmon as a mixer extends the range. Singe hit it out of the park with these.

I am light-medium olive and Give me glow Hey Honey ! blush works for me, and it is yel-low. Their purple Queen of the glam also works because my skin just drinks the blue out of it.. love how unique they are, but they are matte, so I might pick up Angie ´s line, because of what they bring to the table finish-wise

I want an editorial look asap with some of your top picks from this year based on color quality (tone, nuanced, rare, complementary etc) and any makeup that wowed you and you believe is a step above for whatever qualifying reasons. Also, while doing this look, maybe teach some new techniques to the poor beauty consumers who get fed the same things and end up thinking Mario "invented" contouring!! (Honestly want a draped cheek with these blushes) but do you! I would love to see what you come up with and always eager to learn from you!

That video was horrible. Privileged white woman (kackie) defends other privileged white woman’s right to be dismissive to DV survivors (…as if they don’t get that enough…?) and also needlessly implies she’s calling out a black creator by putting his image on the thumbnail to once again, tell everyone to stop talking about Blake, who thought it would be charming to get married on a plantation

Would persimmon be an example of the "filler" for reducing the hollowness of another color?

So, kind of! It would fill a color but it would *alter* the color. It might fill hollowness in a rare circumstance like your skin is very red and you're trying to bridge to orange? 😂

I'm having a reaction to the persimmion - it kind of reminds me of when my mom had a Mary Kay rep come to the house (I was a wee one) and she put this horrible tan blush on her - my mother has light, cool olive skin and it was just about the least flattering shade ever. liking the formula not the yellowish...
