Great video. How do you get the friction wheel to turn freely?

I've got a Centennial 1951 15J90 (detachable motor) that was also made in Canada. Mine also starts with the JC serial number. The decals and surface at the front of the machine bed are pock marked from previous use but she still sews like a dream. The rest of her polished up really well. I need to replace the shuttle driver spring because it's a little loud. That's where I traced it to. Other than that, there's no issues. The motor is very strong. You did a very nice job restoring yours. 👍

Hello! I just bought a 15-91 made in 1953. Let me preface by saying I know very little about these old Singers, but I sewed on one as a child 50 years ago. I loosened the screw on the stitch size selector, pushed the selector down to 6 (to get the largest stitch) but the machine immediately wants to slide that lever up to the 12-15 size area. I tried to tighten the screw at the 6 position, but it fights and simply refuses to give me a large stitch. It locks up if I try to hold the selector lever down. Do you have any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks for any help.
