Have you had any issues using other brand needles for this machine. I know it says you should only use singer brand, but is it really necessary? These tips are great! Thank you!

move the needle on the machine. you can move it left or right. read your manual. look at your stitch width and length window and you see a zig zag in the window push it to get to stitch length window and you will see a needle with left and right points that is where you can punch button to move the needle left or right to get a 1/4 inch.

But don’t press open your seams, press to one side and then the other side. You won’t tear down the line and it won’t be bulky.
