The vocal gymnastics she is able to bring forth are basically elements she learned from the most improvisational jazz singer of all time, that being the great Billie Holiday. There's a reason that Angelina has stated that, if not for Billie Holiday, there would be no Angelina Jordan. That is an incredible statement, especially when you realize she has heard all the great singers of all time but places Billie, alone, at the top of the musical pedestal. If you take the time to listen to Billie's catalog of music, it becomes clear as to why Angelina says what she said about her. Billie was a poor, self taught, Black girl who made her way to the jazz clubs of Harlem where she 'quickly' was deemed to be the 'Queen Of Jazz'.

It is such a trip to experience AJ for the first time. Because it doesn't matter what song she covered or one of her own, she just grabs you and pulls you in! Then once you're in she takes you on this whole musical journey until now with her! I first experienced her cover of "Feeling Good" just a short 3 years ago but after watching so much of her content (and yes a lot of it with you Andrea) I feel like I've been there the whole time. You put it perfectly cause what a timeless beautiful voice and most of the covers she does, she takes and makes them her own!!

Yes Andrea, more multiple TikTok reactions, they are a treasure trove of gems. Try to stick to the singing ones, not the silly ones. There are a few where she sings the whole song, but most are just mind-blowing snippets. Her parking garage songs with natural reverb are outstanding a cappela performances.

Angelina sang Can't Help Falling In Love at the 2023 Le Bal des Debutantes held in Paris this past November 24-25, 2023. Le Bal is the most exclusive debutante ball in the world with only about 20 young woman ages 17 to 22 being invited for this annual event. Typically, the women invited are from royalty, wealthy families, famous political families, and famous entertainer families. Angelina was the exception being invited for merit and was one of the 21 young women invited this year. Le Bal also is both a charity and a fashion events. This year, Le Bal's charities were for the world's oldest children's hospital, Necker-Enfants Malades, where the stethoscope was invented, and for the World Central Kitchen, that has served over 70 million meals since 2010 to people victims of natural disasters or other world crises. Le Bal raises millions for these charities. The fashion event is held all day Friday. All the debutantes have a fashion house from whence a haute couture dress is designed and made for Le Bal. Angelina had two dresses by Dolce & Gabbana, one turquoise blue colored and the other wine colored. Angelina also wore jewelry from V Muse. A ca1880 emerald-diamond tiara said to be worth $1 million and a ca1940 emerald-ruby-diamond necklace and bracelet (also earrings not worn) said to be worth at least $500,000. Angelina's hair was done by world famous German hair stylist Alex Trentini. Le Bal was held at the 5-star Shangri-La hotel that overlooks the Eiffel Tower and where the young women stayed. If you want to know how"can't help falling in love " should be sung then I highly recommend,I mean highly recommend Haley Reinhart, She recorded her version for the X-Tra gum commercial and she was rewarded with double Platinum. She has no upper range to make it in this business, just watch any singing competition show. All the judges wait til they hear the range of the singers head voice

You're not the first to point this out, but I think it's not really a valid criticism of her. She _can_ sing in high head voice / falsetto, she simply chooses not to do that a lot. If you're really interested in hearing her "upper range" nowadays, you can check out the last few seconds of her recent renditions of "Unchained Melody" in Portsmouth and at the Nobel Peace Prize tribute event (sung differently in the two performances), and "Love on the Brain" on _Germany's Next Top Model_ - all from this year. She gets pretty high in those… As for the underlying premise that a female singer must be able to sing especially high to "make it in [the music] business", well, I think that's just demonstrably false, since there have been plenty of successful female singers in the last few decades who are not known for particularly impressive "upper ranges" (e.g., Sia, Adele, Amy Winehouse…). I think it's much more important to have a unique sounding voice (not to mention some artistry in how it is used) than one that can do any one particular thing.
