Do different fabrics require different tension? Because I noticed I have to change it sometimes according to the thickness of the fabric and I have to guess every time.

Well I learned something new through your video! Thank you! I keep my tension at 4 now. I did not know that the bobbin's tension for Singer was similar, at least for the newer machines. I followed your instructions and ta-da! No more bird's nest! I also changed my needle as well. :0) I also appreciate your recommendation to use good thread and to make sure that the same thread is used for both sides. I have always thought of thread as thread. As long as it was a familiar brand like Coats n Clarke's, I thought it was fine. What brand do you recommend?

I have a problem with mine and it’s a very similar model. It’s called made the cut. The problem with mine is that my upper tensioner is not tightening even at the highest number. I tried taking the cover off and figuring out why and I can’t figure out which way the right metal disk is supposed to sit so that it’s pressing on the thread as it’s passing

Hi, I own a new Singer 725 Heavy Duty Machine, used it for over a month making masks all was good. Took it out today there is tension on the bobbin and upper thread, watched your video on how to loosen the tension nothing works. At first there was no tension on the bobbin all of a sudden there is? What else can I do?

Hello! Can you adjust somewhere? Because everything is well threaded. I pass all the tension setting, and nothing is working. We changed the thread too to see if it was affecting. I do hold the fabric in place. But no. We see the down thread on top and down you have loose thread. And it almost doesnt change on all nine setting of the tension.

My needle keeps breaking and snapping in half.. Google tells me it has something to do with the tension. I am so frustrated and it is an unlocked fear every time I try sewing that the needle with snap again.
