The line "you are the one you've been waiting for" gets me every single time. It's like the first movie was about loving and trusting your family and friends and working together with them, and the second movie was loving and trusting your own strength to stand apart as well.

YES - and that is what makes it so powerful!! Because it's such a hard thing to do - especially for Elsa who was always afraid of hurting someone...she finally realizes she can be who she is and not hide anymore...she can - "SHOW HERSELF". LOL. But your point is spot on!

You know me too. What got me was when all the images showed around her. I was like " oh my god that's her life. When she was born, when Anna was born, when they played together with her powers. When the accident happened and everything that happened after that including the death of their parents and then the girl she saw, that was her mom." And this has to be my favorite of the Frozen songs. I like it more then Let it go.

Yeah this is one of the few movies to make me cry in the movie theater and it's this part right here. This moment elevated Elsa to being the most relatable Disney char for me because her journey from the first movie to this one, it's my journey just minus the magic stuff lol. The line that hit me the hardest was this, "I've always been so different, normal rules did not apply." That's when the tears started to appear. The only other movies I can think of that made me cry are the following- The Last Unicorn, Titanic, The Lion King, Land Before Time, and An American Tail.

This Is the Thanks I Get from WISH (which I haven't seen the entirety of) is kind of a "guilty pleasure" for me. I've listened to its other songs too, but I like it the best. Aurora sang the high background vocal, and sings her own version of "Into The Unknown". A lot of people will suggest "Into The Unknown", which is good and has a lot of great covers of it, Acapop Kids did one for example. However I suggest you check out "Lost In The Woods" and "When I Am Older", both are less serious and so much fun.

OK, if anyone gives you the eyes of disapproval for watching Disney movies, just ignore them. Tell me, do kids make Disney movies? Do kids write the songs and make the animation? No! Adults are the teamwork that makes the dream work! We take what we have from childhood and use them as adults to create something new! That's why Disney has a special place in my heart. And Brad, you gotta watch Frozen II!!! It's worth seeing!
@luwirap2 жыл бұрын
I think Adults should've start to realize by now that animations aren't just for kids anymore. These things are marketed for kids to push their parents to consume the materials and creators made somethings in there for parents and adults to enjoy too. I dont know why we have to always remind people that here we are adult 20 something watching a Disney movie like you are going to be labeled as a big baby if you dont... Soul, Encanto and Inside Out, these are movies that an adult would definitely appreciate and if you are an adult who didnt get those messages, then you are a baby.

Never apologise for loving Disney.. Disney is the best and I love that there is something for all that watch their movies.. I think Show Yourself is one of the best songs of this movieI tear up every time I hear this song… I know that Into the Unknown was the song that they pushed as the song of the movie (at least in Australia it was - not sure about other countries l)… but I felt that Show Yourself should have been the song for the movie.. I will admit that Into the unknown I do find irritating at times..

The softness and power in this song is unmatched. Idina has many flaws but the softness she can emulate in her voice that goes right into raw power is very hard to emulate. This is an exceptionally well written piece of music. The layering of instruments as the song gets more complex, and more powerful echoing Elsa's confidence growing through the lyrics. Allowing the words "Show Yourself" to speak for themselves without any music and then to echo the syllables with followup musical beats. Throwing syncopation in there for a bit with what she is singing. Key changes are always powerful moments in a song... and then to realize that it goes from Elsa thinking she is looking for someone else... and really all she ever needed was to accept herself... to show herself. You are the one you've been waiting for. I love movies from every studio out there... but Disney has an extremely talented group of writers, artists and musicians and they absolutely know how to get to the core issue of a story that hits everyone in the feels in some way. It's unfair. I'm also extremely annoyed that this is NOT the piece from the movie that got all the public attention from Disney. They promoted Into the Unknown as the big number. Maybe to avoid spoilers or something, I don't know. It's catchy and fun, represents a turning point, but Show Yourself is powerful. Like you said, it's the stand up in your seat and cheer song.
