Seriously...when I listened to this song for the first time I thought of a few times when I was in a relationship then not long after we broke up started dating someone I knew while dating the other woman. I almost called and apologized; a teen pop song shouldn't make a 38 year old man question his old choices lol

This happens to ppl of all ages. As a 34 year old established woman I relate. Because there are millions of songs about cheating but NOBODY talks about your partner falling in love w/ someone else while you’re together. The BETRAYAL OF THAT. Theres a vacuum in the myriad of cheating songs about this moment. When your partner is ENTERTAINING another man/woman while you’re together, they didn’t fück or kiss so it’s not technically cheating BUT the moment they CHOSE to continue talking to her/him WHILE WE ARE TOGETHER. That moment where s/he knows that they’re attracted to that person & instead of catching himself & saying NO, they lean into that temptation so that when it knocked THEY INVITED IT IN. Nobody ever talks about that situation. It’s always the sleeping with & cheating but being strung along then eventually broken up with because theyre already cultivating something w/ someone else! I’ve yet to hear a love song that acknowledges that

There’s a local celebrity couple in my country that has been together for 13 YEARS. Then the guy made a movie w/ a childhood ex and she mentioned she’s slightly concerned about it because they have a history. He of course assured her that they have nothing going on & he loves only her. Fast forward to 9 months after the movie was done, the guy wanted to break up & she was confused because they’re in a good place. 2 months after he broke up with her, he & the other woman made the relationship public & 1 month after she’s pregnant. IMAGINE THAT 13 years crumbled in a year. THIS IS THE PERFECT SONG FOR THAT! He technically didn’t cheat BUT EVERYTIME HE CHOSE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE OTHER WOMEN HE BETRAYED HWR

The line about falling in love quickly is not true for me. Love at first message from plenty of fish 🤣. Met the next day and literally moved in together the 3rd day 😅 8yrs later and a 6 yr old together. ❤❤ gotta say you just know. When you meet someone and say where have you been all my life? @@BradSteele so I just started listening to her stuff because of one song, 'BRUTAL'. I heard a young 13 yr.old German girl names Raschel sing it and she killed it. She auditioned using this song for The Voice Kids Germany. She sang the ..... out of it. I'll leave the link. Then I went and saw Olivia sing it live and she is pretty good.
