I'm over here crying and laughing at the same time. Great reaction!

her mother passed either the day before this performance or within a few days before and she channeled that. Breathtaking

I'm late to the Yebba train and you are one of my favorite reactions! You can literally see and feel all these stages of her grief in this single performance... pain, loss, sadness, anger, strength. She's amazing and takes me on an emotional journey every time I hear or see this.

Dude, you just gained a subscriber, loved your reaction. This is one of my favorite things to watch on KZbin is people reacting to this video. No one is ever prepared for Yebba their first time hearing it.

Your reaction is probably my favorite as well. It seems clear that was the first time you saw her video. Now I know what I looked like when I saw it the first time, lol. New subscriber, bro.

You can feel her emotion. Literally singing tears.

This artist is incredible, the emotion is so present, she is blessed by the gods of the voice, a tightrope walker of the notes, the great ladies of soul music leaned over her cradle .... What talent ❤️🙏🎶❤️

Yebba has been an outspoken advocate for mental health awareness and support. Her mother died by suicide about a week after Yebba sang her first original song, causing "My Mind" to take on new meaning representing mental health. ... In memory of her mother, Yebba gave the song away free through her website. Other names: Abbey Smith; Yebba Smith Occupation: Singer-songwriter; Backing vocalist

She recorded this one week after her mother's death , so the emotions you hear are real and raw ! By the way Yebba is Abbey spelled backwards !
@serenaponce32613 жыл бұрын
And I’m sure that she was passionate about the hurt she felt when she originally made the song so being that I am person who lost her mother to and I’m new to all this reaction stuff I have this song hits home in two ways now not just one and she portrayed both awesomely

Her mom had committed suicide not too long before this performance I believe. That’s why she’s emotional. I don’t think she has performed this again. Her song Evergreen is sort of an answer to this song.

I hadn't heard this song before either. Though I have heard many on the same subject. She has great runs. She has a little trouble with that one high note, but the rest was amazing.
@pearljammies3 жыл бұрын
That wasn’t trouble with the note. That was emotion overtaking her.
@natielabraithwaite79993 жыл бұрын
It wasnt trouble with the note or emotions taking over, each note was perfectly delivered to express how she feels at each line and to bring understanding to the deep soul scarring hurt that she's feeling while delivering the song, you cant help but relate to some part of this song whether as the man doing the hurt or the woman hurting or even the woman that's causing this new pain
@jillzdaley2 жыл бұрын
That was intentional. Everything she does is intentional and absolute perfection. She’s unreal in every way.
@Kim-rf5etАй бұрын
She didn’t have any trouble she was about to cry through the whole song. Her mother committed suicide right before she sang this. You wish you could sing like her and you don’t know anybody that can. I don’t either
@bartonbagnes4605Ай бұрын
@Kim-rf5et Now why would I want to sing like her, instead of like me? And what makes you so sure I don't know anyone who can sing like her? She doesn't have an unbelievably high singing range or low singing range or wide singing range. She doesn't do polyphonic singing. She does sing very emotionally, though that's not all that rare. She is a great singer like many.
