I think this must be one of the most fulfilling reactions I've ever seen and heard. So good, so to the point about musicality and lyrics. To follow the timeline, I would strongly suggest Murder Song, live at the 2015 Nobel Peace Price Concert. It's an epic performance and a very special song, and also an amazing duet. Thanks, SingerDad.

A great followup to Murder song IMO is Winter Bird. It released 6 months after Runaway, was also written at a young age. Its also one of the few of her songs where i love the music video as much as the live performances.

What sets Aurora apart in my opinion is that she couldn't care less about fame or awards or money. Its absolutely about the message in her songs and about the lives she touches through her music. 100% authentic and unapologetic about who she is. I introduced my 10 daughter to her last week. Good role models today are so rare. Aurora is one.

You hit the nail on the head. If you watch the NRK (PBS equivalent in Norway), Documentary "Once Aurora" which details her transition from Aurora to AURORA and the tremendous strain it put on her you'll get a sense of the challenges endured. Panic attacks, crying in a locked bathroom and discussing canceling the end of her first tour. 200+ shows a year for an introvert must have been brutal. Plus, it details her fight for creative freedom in her choices for songs on her second album. My favorite quote on the documentary was when she told management, "Don't worry about it, it will be alright." On her song choices. He threw his hands in the air and told Magnus to handle her. He wanted more "Pop" in the album. Great share.

Thank you for coming back to Aurora. Your reaction to,"Through the Eyes of a Child", was so authentic and REAL I instantly subscribed. I'm commenting before you finished the introduction to, "Runaway", as I'm certain your reaction will be heartfelt are relevant. You refer toevents in your life happening recently and how "Through the Eyes..... ", is such a touching song and even more so now; I hope all is well for you and your family. Aurora is special, I'm a lifelong (58 yr old dad of two) music lover and no artist has ever affected me as much as her music, lyrics, performances, personality, attitude, and philosophy has. She's the first artist I can pinpoint when I discovered her/them - the first week of January 2020. She made the pandemic much more bearable and makes me believe the saying, "All things happen for a reason". Her music has helped me through some tough times and I'm grateful to have discovered her. I believe you will enjoy her entire discography AND her interviews, documentaries, and miscellaneous videos on KZbin. I could recommend MANY more gems for you in your journey into Aurora's world of love and acceptance but I assure you, you won't be disappointed in any you choose. She is a genius empath and ALL her songs can be interpreted in different ways by different people, she's amazing. Besides, this small note has turned into a novel 😂🤣 and you will get a HUGE response from the rest of Aurora's Warriors and Weirdos. BTW your reaction was wonderful, thanks!

She is wonderful live, often even better. The tight harmonies she and her band can pull off on live stage where often all members join inn with backing vocals has left me speachless many times. Some exemples : "Churchyard" at KEXP, " Exist for love" (acustic version) at Christines radio festival and "The Seed" at National Geographic earth day performance at a forrest. Vocal layering and the dynamics in music +a masterfull studio production make her music an experience.

What about the nobel peace prize concert??? I feel like the performance of murder song especially is one of the best i have ever seen. Fun facts about the Runaway Music Video: It was shot late autumn 2014 and winter 2014/2015. She was 18 at this time. She wrote Runaway at the age of 11. The parts, where she wears the furry top, where shot at the west coast of the Drange peninsula, less than a mile away from her parents house. The parts in the forest where shot in the same forest where she played as a kid, less than half a mile away from her parents house. The parts, where she wears a thin white cardigan and with some trees in the near background and the island of Lysøya in the background, are shot actually in the backyard of her parents house.

@@RuneMoenHolmen I was there. No, not in her parent's backyard but on the Drange peninsula. In 2017 I was on a boat trip in the region. At a marina near Aurora's home we stopped for a quick repair, which was not quick at all. At the evening we meet some nice local people and had a beer or two with them. One of them introduced me to Aurora and told me, where the Runaway video was shot. Aurora was by far the most famous person, that ever lived in this neighborhood and he was quite proud of her. The next day my colleagues made a trip to Os for some fast food. Because I liked the imagery of Runaway and it didn't rain, I went to the forest instead. It is really a beautiful place. I can imagine, that it is a magical place for a kid. I even found the abandoned power-line, that can be seen in the background at 0:10. For the backyard scenes, take a look at the documentary "AURORA - Into The Light".

Also, 'It happened quiet', live st the current is fantastic, if you're into harmonies, well, then you're in for a treat! It's just Aurora and a female gitarist who are singing backup vocals. But you cannot go wrong with Aurora, she hasn't done anything bad! P.S. There is also a great live version of Runaway from Nobel prize concert, I would recommend you to see it just for yourself. The "face in the sand" and "..was painting a picture of you.." line is about not being able to see the ones she has lost. When she wrote about climbing in a tree... she said she was climbing a tree and branch broke and she almost fell. She has always been fascinated with death. The soft place to fall she said she pictured her mothers arms when she wrote that. I love Aurora.

Actually you don't understand how she is. She doesn't see herself as a star or celebraty and she is not living as one. She is living a quite "normal" life, beside her work at the studio and tours. "Runaway" is about death, loss, sorrow and grief and the choice to run away from them or facing and accepting them. Maybe the reason, why she feels closer to the song now is, that she had expierienced all of that herself now. She explains it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpCQkniah6xsa6s

i think your channel is not so diversified. mostly angelina, dimash, aurora. wouldn't it be time to discover some new artists? i'd suggest susanne sundfor, from norway like aurora

Good suggestion! I love Susanne Sundfør. Which song would you recommend? I love so many of her songs, “The Brothel”, “White Foxes”, “when the Lord”, “Undercover”, and her cover of Judee Sill’s “The Kiss” is just beautiful!

Re your intro . I dont think there was anything annoying about your reaction , not to many pauses and when you did you had something constructive to say unlike some who are are false and talk rubbish . I was typing this as you were talking at the end and i thought i bet he mentions God and lo and behold you did lol. I dont have a problem you or your god , i just hope your not going to be using your channel to preach , its not why i subscribe . Great reaction to a great artist , keep it up. There is so much more to Aurora's music and it keeps growing.
