they have performed this one live so many times in front of large crowds, I feel like they have had lots of time and space to try out all the variations they want. I love this version, won't say it's better that the old one, but it is wonderful to watch.

I second that suggestion! It's a very unusual song...and frankly I love that it comes from Scott who has the creative ability to put together songs like that and knows just who's sounds would work best for it. I hope he wins that Grammy.

In studio recordings, for songs that are being released on albums, the bass (Avi or Matt - this has been their policy all along) will record one track with the bass line for the entire song, and a second track for his solo, which gets layered in over the bass track. So in the official video for "Hallelujah," where the audio is actually the studio recording, we hear Avi singing bass throughout. But in live performances, Scott takes over the bass line during Matt's (or Avi's) solo. This is a live performance. Listen to how low Scott was singing during Matt's solo. Wow!

I was glued to Ali as the ending was coming, thinking, oh, you loved Scott before, just wait! There’s a behind-the-scenes where Kirstie is worried about Scott overtaking her own mic whilst belting that phenomenal run at the end and wondering if he could maybe direct that part to the floor. Nope, he stills leans into Kirstie. Hee hee, they know each other so well! Looking forward to your reaction to Bohemian Rhapsody. Peace …

Ok so my take on Pentatonix. Scott voice I think has improved the most since the sing off. Kevin does great beat boxing and by the groups own admittance has the highest range in the group. Mitch I believe is probably in the top 2 or 3 male vocalist in the world. Matt I think has the best tone in the group, but I think what makes Pentatonix the top of the acapella food chain and separates them from the rest is Kirstin and what she brings to the group. No other acapella group has a female that brings what she does to the table and I think she also is one of the top female vocalists in the world.

I love this version but not so sure about that super high notes from Scott at the end. I don't love that. They do have a brief BTS of this where Kirstie is saying he's too loud and she can't hear herself sing - doesn't look like he held back any! :) Happy to see you back at PTX.

Have you all tried listening to Forestella? You should listen to their “ Legends never die” or “ Bad Romance” to start with. They are performed live. Or listen to their “ Scarborough Fair” if you like traditional stuff.

They can't. Yes, some small channels get away with it because PTX's label doesn't notice but MAP is big enough that they will get copyright strikes and lose the whole video.
