Money wins at the end, the competition for NIT,IITs is ruthless and unfair, students lost interest in science in general when they pass through that preparation journey.. Better have money, do your undergrad from some private University as she did, and then go for US to persue whatever you want.. *merit based competition is always unfair and of no use*

@@amans6504 yes I totally agree eith u.money is a big factor here.SRM is a good university but Most people dont have enough to pay to a university like SRM despite having good grades or potential. plus the title is a little misleading here. She isnt a doctor but a biomed engineer. Universities abroad offer aid for students into research or students into engineering but thats not the case for a person trying to get MBBS .Getting aid for MBBS study abroad is a rare thing. but then again if research is your field then it is better to follow or do things the.way she did.For a students into research goin abroad to university like Harvard would be the best.

She has earned amazing achievements but she didn’t pursue clinical Medicine in the Harvard Medical School. Indeed, she did biomedical research and undergraduate program at Harvard. There is a big difference in Clinical Medicine and Medical Research in the US. It’s difficult but possible to get into Harvard Research Programs but it’s highly unlikely for someone from foreign country to get accepted at Harvard Medical school, unless until he or she has done some breakthrough research in the US undergraduate program. Next about funding: there is ample funding in research, but almost zero funding in Medical school, unless/ until one is doing MD+ PhD combined program, which is 8 year long and highly competitive to get and usually reserved for US citizens.

I know everything about the process cuz i have already done my own research. The most unsatisfactory result is that she gave so little information so little like a overview there is much to know. Firstly I would highly recommend you guys to do your own research it's just an overview not the final. She mentioned that I have to do a 4 year pre med which is a degree either in Engineering or Biology related degree this is so untrue because you can do any degree you like as long as you take the pre med curriculum courses in your degree and secondly there so many major that didn't major in the biological Sciences acceptance rate of Biology major is low the highest acceptance rate where the the Humanities major with the pre med curriculum 56% acceptance rate as a Biology major it's only 36 basically you can do any degree as long as you take the pre med courses. And secondly she also mentioned that those are the two requirements but in reality those are just nothing you have to do volunteer in a hospital or Shadow a doctor put it on as extra curricular on your CV. people with great letters of recommendation and the great MCAT score don't get the acceptance a very few number of applicants of International students get accepted into Medical School in the US. So the best thing you can do is being IMG so IMG stand for international medical graduate umm you do your mbbs in the india and a your 3rd year you prepare for the USMLE step 1 then in your internship you take step 2 CK and CS then you can take this step 3 it's optional you can take it if you want a h1b visa if you don't take it you will get a J1 visa instead so there are only a few number of programs which offer h1 b keep that in mind. Next in your from your first year You do research on the specialties you'r applying for. Publish it on international journal so that you can write it on your CV that will stand you out from other applicants you do 2 months of clinical elective get the letters of recommendation from there. next you write your personal statement it compulsory in fact all of this that I am telling. At last you submit all of these two to application called as you apply for 200 programs in your chosen speciality and then you get interviews. You submit your CV on September I guess and you get interviews from November December January. 10 interviews are good for getting matched into a program you attend those interviews and those interviews are the most important thing many top knot students fail those interviews and remain unmatched. so that how is the process work. and finally you start your residency on 1st of July. the match rate for IMG International medical graduates is barely 62% in this year I guess 6,000 applications and 4500 got match into their chosen speciality. I fell like this is also less info cuz there is so much to know i wish i could share it😭.

Let me first put the facts right. She graduated from SRM University, Chennai which in India. During his UG program, she may have done thesis from Harvard medical school which is typically 6 months or max 1 year. Afterwards she did masters from cornell. So as claimed by her, she is not a 'harvard under grad.' Also she is biomedical engineer. I wonder Saloni got Americanized in such a short time contrary to singh. Although i watched her youtube channel which actually is very informative with top notch production quality.

Okay so this is gonna be long but please bear with me 1) First of all please stop comparing Harvard with AIIMS. Harvard was established in 1636 and AIIMS in 1956 see the huge difference in terms of the time Harvard has been into existence obviously it's got to be better. 2) Secondly look at the huge fees differenece between these two universities Harvard charges anywhere between 30-35 lac per annum whereas AIIMS charges only 6k per year . Now if I am to take 35 lac from 10-20k students compared to 6k from 200-300 students it is pretty obvious which college would be having a monetary benefit and hence which one will have more facilities and still, even with all these disadvantages AIIMS delhi provides the best to its students at minnimum costs unlike harvard. 3) Lastly there is no doubt that Saloni has worked really hard to be where she is And she is really talented and smart but Harnoor please you have got to stop putting up these clickbaits she is an engineering student not a medical student as she mentioned herself. She has explained the process of becoming a doctor in the US beautifully and I guess that answers everyone's queries and shows how knowledgeable she is. But you my friend cannot rely on your experts to clarify your clickbaits always.

The information is misleading, in US MBBS is called MD which is 4 year program and after or before finishing medical school students must pass USMLE in order to proceed Residency training. She is telling US dont trust degree from other countries, ohh. Common do you even know about ECFMG, ? If you have 500 dollars and u are graduate from any school in india can apply and appear USMLE but big thing is you should pass it, and for your information , specialty is not called MD in US, its not given by university ,it is given by training hospital unlike in india. So a doctor in US will write MD, FACS , or something like this according to their specialty, because the primary medical degree is MD in US which is equivalent to MBBs in india.
