@@NotAVampyre Nooo! I thought I was being so clever and everyone would immediately understand. Hahaha. I was drawing the silly parallel that they both represent a warm, hyperreal nostalgia for a time 3 decades prior. And-I actually didn’t think of this at first-also one where Hollywood is fondly celebrating an image they largely helped generate.

Yeah, I think that's a fair comparison! Hollywood tends to have a 20/30 year cycle where suddenly that previous decade is cool enough for period pieces.
