WG talk and breadth of repetoire demonstration makes total sense. Why would an artist who has the vocal ability and love of many different genres not sing them. She sings them with musical intelligence and style. A breath of fresh air.

I love your voice, your way of expressing yourself and I agree with every word you said. I am a classical singing student, but I also sing in symphonic metal bands, I love musical theatre and Irish folk music as you do. I find your talk very inspirational to me, your words give me the hope of going on without closing myself in a cage, always doing my best and working hard, but without giving up my versatile nature. I live in Italy and I hope to see you perform here someday. Good luck and keep up the awesome work

Thank you so much Wallis! I have been following you on Instagram for quite some time. It is really inspiring to hear a professional mezzo speak about versatility. I am in school currently as a mezzo studying classical voice and recently was worried about career options because I also love singing musical theatre and writing my own music. Thank you for assuring me that I'm able to do multiple things in the future professionally. I hope that post-COVID I will be able to see you perform in person!

A beautiful name for a beautiful girl! Thank you for introducing me to an entirely new genre that I was once close-minded to. Love that tender moment when you hug/kiss your fellow musician.

Although I have heard and written about you for years, I have never heard your Irish folk singing. I am deeply moved! Furthermore, I love the way you explained opera to newbies. I want to save this speech and play it for others. We are in total agreement about living ones own pathway, even if it is outside the box. Boxes were invented by and for "squares".

By the way, Giunta is an Italian family name. Maybe some ancient ancestor?

This talk just came at the right time. I was just reviewing my own "musical evolution" today and was amazed at how many styles I had explored through the years, either actively or passively. I guess this definitely isn't the norm. To me the "diagnosis" is simple: you could call us music lovers :) If there is so much musical beauty and variety in the world, then why limit yourself? Love your versatility, the Bernstein and the folk song were deeply moving.

It's about time young people are going back to that style and sound of singing without straining their voices. Keep it up! I've become tired of those R&B chest belting American pop divas telling the world what they think all singers should sound like and damaging their voices in return.

I can't remember where I discovered you, but I absolutely LOVE your voice and repetoire! I'm currently training as a lyric baritone, and I'm beginning to develop some versatility as well; I've sung from African-American spirituals to musical theatre to classical pieces. I'm curious to know in terms of you being an actress as well, have you ever thought about having a part in a film or a television series?

I've thought about it, but it's a whole different world, and I'm happy with the music world I live in. If something came my way, I'd consider it, but I'm not prepared to make a go of it as a screen actress ;)
