@@AnujaK20 Certainly it was inspired by multiple Ragas and yes as you said it is difficult to pinpoint lol... since songs are free to use any Ragas as they like in one composition which cannot be done in pure classical style. But I feel like the first melody "mere dholana" seems like Mishra Kafi and last part of tarana is inspired by Rageshree?!! Ma Dha Ni Sa Dha Ni Dha Ma Ga Ma Ga Re Sa Ni Dha Ni ....

Roja janeman is also in Raga des. You will notice that many of Rahman's love songs are based on Raga des. For ex. "Agar tum sath ho" song

Anuja ji, I was wondering in the Des segment, instead of starting the Ami Je Tomar phrase with (Pa)Ma, which, by the way, was a brilliant move on your part to bring the Pakad of Des into the song, could we possibly start the Ami Je Tomar phrase with (Re)Ma? That feels a little more like traditional Des, at least to me.

But the heaviness Ahir Bhairav (or any raag in the Bhairav group) has, I don't find it to be suitable for a situation where a person is going through the loss of a near one. I'd have chosen either Multan or Pilu for this situation. Multan, if the sadness aspect is emphasized. Pilu,if happiness and sadness,both.
