6:04 I think I know one such Farsi lyrics. In _Man Kunto Maula_ live by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (University of Washington, 1993) @2-40 time. Original Farsi - _Dar aa Delam, Dar aa Delam, Nadir-Daani_ NFAK sang this - _Daara Dil le, Daara Dil le, Daare Daani_ Farsi translation : _Dar_ = In _aa_ = Come _Delam_ = Del + am = Heart + mine _Nadir_ = Precious _Daani_ = Daan + ee = Knower you {because daan = to know, as in Qadr-daan} Nadir-Daani = You the knower of the precious! *Come into my heart, You knower of the precious* 🙂

Its like another indirect colonisation

So well explained Anujaji - with vocal examples which helped so much; thanks a lot. Your classical training - observed in your other videos as well - shines through brilliantly in these vocal demonstrations. One request - can you please make a video detailing the raga(s) used in this song - seems to be more than one raga to a layman like me.

Thanks for this video. This could become lesson # 1 if you create "Masterclass of Hindustani music"! After watching your videos, I can appreciate Hindustani Classical music better. Connecting (good) Bollywood music and Classical will definitely attract younger generation and maybe you can help preserve and propagate our music. Keeping videos around 10 minutes helps as span of attention is on the decline in fast paced life. Good luck.

so nice of you anuja... you should make more videos like this. i still remember when i heard the song for the first time. shreya was brilliant and m g sreekumar just took it to another level. now they just milking the song in every sequel instead of making another legendary song.
