Hi Lauren, a very well informed and knowledgeable reaction, i'm a little jealous, i am a long time Lucy fan, and have listened to her catalogue dozens of times, i now sit with bated breath for each new release, you on the other hand are in the enviable position of being blown away every time you listen to another masterpiece by the incomparable Lucy thomas, try some of her early stuff i promise you wont be dissapointed, the lady was born to sing!! also check out her duets with younger sister Martha, but finally a warning, when you enter the rabbit hole there's no escape.!!! Lucy is the best...she just started doing songs from Phantom of the Opera too...i have all her CDs...and listen to her all the time...she is a true marvel. Lauren ...anything you pick from Lucy you will LOVE... I actually found her my accident when I was looking for videos of the song Never Enough....she was only 14 I think on that video and I was blown away and have been following her ever since...she has such an awesome story and can sing the phonebook and make it sound magical...keep listening ...she is worth it...take care...

Hi, great reaction. I would suggest listening to Lucy’s Manchester Concert videos released this year, they show that her talent translates easily to the stage and a live performance. I would also suggest her duet of The Prayer sung with her younger sister Martha. Martha is not a professional singer like Lucy, but her voice is magical too, and when they sing together, just wow!

Every Lucy Thomas song is a masterpiece. Hallelujah was the first time that I heard her and was my favorite until she released Unchained Melody. But I get amazed by every song that she sings. I have seen your reactions before and I am so glad that you have discovered Lucy Thomas. Great reaction Lauren. You may know that Lucy had her West End debut on Tuesday this week at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Now 20, she gave a stunning performance of many of her KZbin 'covers', including 'Hallelujah' and, in the second half, reprised some of the big songs from her forthcoming musical, Rosie. Lucy was joined on the Theatre Royal's magnificent stage by an amazing orchestra and, by her sister Martha dueting on 'When you Believe'. Other guests included Will Callan who sang 'Empty Tables' from Les Mis and then joined Lucy in a couple of duets from Rosie, including 'Above the Clouds' and 'Hold On'. My personal favourites included Lucy's stunning rendition of 'I Dreamed a Dream', from Les Mis, 'Beauty and the Beast', her duet with Martha, 'Don't Cry for me Argentina', from Evita, her poignant renditions of 'Suddenly' and 'Broken Dreams' from Rosie and her finale, together with Martha and guests, of 'We Can Change the World', also from the musical Rosie. Lucy's raport with the audience was genuine and heartwarming and the numerous standing ovations she received from the moment she walked onto the stage to the rapturous applause at the end of the concert were testament, if needed, of the affection her dedicated fans have for this supremely talented young lady.

One of my favorite videos of hers is “I dreamed a dream”. The Le Mez song. I’m in love with Lucy’s voice. She is so smooth. I completely agree with you that her transition between high and low notes is very smooth and there is no cracking in her voice.

Being a voice coach you will love listening to Lucy. Breath control, vibrato control, tone quality, pitch and over all control are second to none. As you know the best singers will not only have good voice control but also the ability to convey the story that the writer intended. The only singer that I know that can do all of this maybe a tiny bit better than Lucy is Lara Fabian. But Lara is on the tail end of a 30 year career and Lucy is at the beginning stages. Lucy can sing any genre and sing it with perfection. Whether it be pop ballads, rock anthems, show tunes/musicals or classical crossover. Alot can also be said for the choice of songs that Lucy chooses to record as well. She can take on a Whitney Houston, Celine Dion or Barabara Streisand song without fear and make the song her song and sound, in most peoples opinion that hear her, even better than the original, bet yet stay true to the song. Lucy will not over utilize vocal acrobatics, although she could, when she sings a song. When she decides on a song to record, she is committed to the song and the writer's story. Lucy has a concert in London's West end the 22nd of this month. I am coming from Texas to see this phenom in person and wouldn't miss it for the world. There are many good singers in the industry right now. But there are only a few that really stand out and move into the great category. Lucy is one of them.

I am not a voice specialist , but her voice sent me, vibrations of calm and confort. I am listening to her every time I am stressed. I have been following her since 2020, I can recommend: All by myself ( Eric Carmen cover) Evergreen ( Streisand cover) Wind beneath my wings ( Bette Midler cover) I will always love you ( Witney cover) The prayer ( duo with her sister Martha, cover of Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli ) Unchained melody... I'm a long time follower of Lucy's and I'm so happy you took the time to review her song. She is a brilliant vocalist/ singer extraordinaire and presently I can't find anyone to compare her to. Certainly not pop stars. Lucy is performing a concert this October/22/2024 at the West End in London and there are still tickets available. She has a vocal ability most just dream of. Lucy has always had a great and mature voice and has got better over the years. Her lower range is one of the best I have heard, as you will discover with later covers, including Unchained Melody and A Whiter Shade of Pale. ❤

In my opinion Lucy is without doubt one of the best female singers in the world today and is destined to become an international superstar. My recommendation would be a double reaction "One Day" her first studio recording and "I Dreamed A Dream" her latest. With the first song you'll see just why she got a recording contract at 13, and the second shows why she has millions of fans all over the world including Japan.

Hello Lauren. Welcome to the magical music world of Lucy Thomas. This particular song from Lucy has really surprised many reactors. Many have said they really didn’t know the lyrics until they heard Lucy’s rendition. I think that says a lot about her music. All of her recordings are of at least this caliber. I have followed Lucy for around 4 yrs now. Lucy just seems to have a way of drawing you in and very carefully speaking to your soul. A far amount of singers have this connection but Lucy seems to do it on every recording. By the way this recording has over an unbelievable 1 billion views on Tik Tock. My suggestion next would be her cover of “Unchained Melody”. I think in the future that it will surpass this recording. Thank you for supporting Lucy and your kind words. Also Lucy has had the same voice coach since the age of 7or 8 I believe,she was signed by Chris Broom of ' Cavendish records' at the age of 14!,she has her third major concert coming up on the 22nd October at "The theatre Royal Drury lane London,then in the new year she is to star in a new musical "Rosie" written for her by Chris Broom who along with her mother in particular has mentored Lucy through the years!,Lucy has been brought on very carefully as for one she wanted to finish her schooling & those backing her didn't want her to be over exposed to quickly,she is in 'good hands'!😊

Hi Lauren. Short intro: Singing lessons from age 7. Earned a record contract and a musical (Rosie about Rosie Boote, see wiki) by auditioning age 13 with the song One Day. Got the contract at 14yo. Songs on KZbin age 9,10,13,14...now. 5 albums + Rosie. Total about 70 KZbin including ~10 duets with her very talented 5y,8mo younger sister Martha (for 'hobby') and about the same number of originals, rest covers various genres. Most covers better than the original. An early one: Listen. Her 2 latest: Unchained Melody and I Dreamed A Dream. Born Feb 2004, so ~20.5yo now. 1st public concert last march in Manchester. You have got the two best singers of the last 60 years back to back Linda who I heard in 1969 and followed ever since and Lucy who I first heard in 2021 only two singers I would compare to each other and use as a goto standard for other singers.. Lucy is better trained but the talent is around the same i would think, both are exceptional.

Many reactors comment on Lucy's vibrato as one of the best they have heard. One called it master class. Me personally, her vibrato is what cenented my membership on her channel. Her vibrato drills right through my heat and generally turns the water works. In the final section her breath control really shows up. She can blow right past where many stop for a breath. Really make for a smooth feeling.
