Yes! IEW Level A has been perfect for my struggling 6th grade writer. We are taking 2 years to go through, but she’s improved so much!

Mine as well! Writing has been such a struggle, but since using IEW she has already improved greatly! Taking it as slowly as needed in order to boost her confidence and just get words on the page. Loving it!

Great video! You poor mom, I cannot fathom trying to homeschool while battling Cancer. I can also see how it would be a burden for you and your siblings. I also started homeschooling due to my child's severe anxiety and the schools failure to accommodate. His anxiety has gotten so much better with homeschooling!!!

Great video! I found it so interesting that you felt that your homeschool experience was less than ideal. Homeschooling is always held out to be the pinnacle of academic quality, it never occured to me that it could be done badly. I'm so sorry you went through a hard time with your mom's cancer. Did your parents use a curriculum?

Hi! Thanks for the comment. I want to start by saying, I now realize that the main thing I took away from homeschooling was learning to learn and the development of a love for learning. Those were more invaluable to me than I knew when I was younger. They tried a few different curriculums throughout my life. We did Saxon Math and a lot of the LifePacs later on. For high school I attempted American School, which is a correspondence school, but I wasn't able to pay for that myself and it's honestly fairly difficult to follow. It ultimately came down to inconsistency as the major downfall for my education at a young age, but I made it! I ended up getting into college and excelling while there! Which is always a huge comfort for me as a homeschool mom because I know she'll be ok as long as I keep going and stay as consistent as possible. :D

@@breakingthesinglemomstigma5339 you’re so right! So many moms get caught up with curriculum but honestly any curriculum can be a huge success when implemented consistently. @@onhomeeducation9581 We are using a Midgard constitution book. So far it’s been great! We just read a few pages every other day. Sometimes there are some questions to answer, but it’s not super involved, which is nice with everything else we’re doing.
