This is a Jane Austen themed junk journal with one signature. It is full of tucks, stamping, pockets, tags and lots of places to journal. I hope you enjoy taking a look. :)

Love the vintagey colors on this Jane Austen book and the beautiful touches. Love the fussy cutting tuck spots and the envelopes and all the goodies in there.

Andrea hi. I love your Jane Austen journal. It's so full of imaginative ideas and lots of variety. I'm in the process of making my own Jane Austen journal as I've loved her work ever since studying Emma for my English Literature exam and then teaching her novels to students for many years. I've always wanted somewhere to keep my notes and observations in and this is perfect. They didn't have journals like this in my day :-)I love all the journaling space and the clever use of bags and tuck spots. There's one thing in your journal I've really fallen in love with...more than all the rest...haha! It's near the front and is a silhouette image of a lady at a writing desk. It's on the inventory page from A Tattered Dream. Can I ask, is this a stamp and if so where it's from? Lots of thanks.

Hi Angela, thank you so much. 😊 Yes, that image is from a stamp set. It is a favorite of mine, but it is over 10 years old! I got it from Stampin' Up...so it is probably retired. It is called Vintage Postcard...I found it here on Ebay www.ebay.com/itm/Stampin-Up-Rare-Retired-Set-Vintage-Post-Card-To-From-Snail-Mail-Thank-You-EUC-/322449215930?hash=item4b137891ba:g:9EQAAOSwuxFYxE-f , if you want to see what the whole set looks like.

Andrea hi, thanks so much for your reply. I've looked at the set on eBay. It's absolutely gorgeous. I love those two ladies. Of course the lady writing must be Jane Austen :-) Now, can I justify spending over $50 on a set of stamps and postage, not to mention possible customs charges :-) I think it might just remain a pleasant dream. But thank you again.

Bummer, with the shipping and customs it doubles the price. There are some things I would love to purchase, but the shipping cost makes it not worth the expense because I don't need it anyway. :)

I love all your Jane Austen journals They are lovely. Where did you get the tiny little envelopes? Are they a die? Would love to get some. TFS
@ButterflyBlessingsStudio7 жыл бұрын
Thank you Scrapppy art! 😀. I actually got the tiny envelopes at a yard sale many years ago. The packaging says, "Hero Arts," though I don't know if it is still a current product. I have always loved miniature things!

Gorgeous! Can you tell me how to get those white dots on the coffee and tea died papers Please! Thanks. Kathy
@ButterflyBlessingsStudio7 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The polka dots are achieved by drying the coffee dyed papers on a pan with holes such as a grill pan or pizza pan. I found some aluminum grill pans with holes at the dollar store. I am not sure who thought of this idea first, but it was a great one. :)

Beautiful journal! Can you tell me how you put the envelope in to cover the center stitching? Do you cut it open and then glue it back together??
@ButterflyBlessingsStudio7 жыл бұрын
Thank you Ellen! :) For the envelope in the center, the envelope came unglued when I coffee dyed it, so it naturally had to be glued back together. Yes, I glued it back together after stitching in the signature. If you weren't coffee/tea dying, you could probably steam the envelope open also.

Gorgeous! Have a question. I've been seeing coffee and tea died paper work dots. how do you get this Affect? Thanks!

Gorgeous, tfs! Newbie question - what is a single signature? Tucking? Junk journaling appears to have its own language
@ButterflyBlessingsStudio7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Lia! :). It does have some particular terms doesn't it? The signature is the grouping of pages that is sewn into the journal. Some journals have more than one section of papers sewn in. The tuck spots are places to hold journaling, photos, memorabilia or to conceal journaling treasures.
