@Stormy Knight I have been making trifles my whole life (daughter of an English mom) and often make them for potlucks at work, parties, get-togethers of all types, and it's weird how so many people think it's just a throw-together kind of dessert. It's WORK! Not difficult, per se, but work nonetheless, and time-consuming, generally, since each layer has to set up before you can add the next layer. Miss you, Mom, and thanks for teaching me how to make the world's best English trifle (which looks nothing like this chocolate monstrosity, hahaha, though this monstrosity still looks delicious). Miss you so much, Mom. 💖

I think the peanut butter brownie is the most balanced, the fattiness and saltiness of the peanut butter cuts through the rich chocolate. The cookie has some salt and caramel for some pops of savory, but the trifle is just sweet on sweet.
