Probably because they didn't want to be associated with many of their inevitable uses. "Don't be evil" gets kind of Grey when you're supplying military hardware.

That table tennis video was totally bogus. Complete rubbish. There was nothing real about it whatsoever! Why are people so stupid?

He said that in the video. There seems to be a lot of fake stuff being put out by robotics companies to make it look like they are more advanced than they actually are. e.g. Hanson Robotics.

+ RobertMrtn I suppose that was my bad. I was so appalled when I saw the robot playing table tennis that I stopped watching is immediately and then made my comment. I have watched it a little further since receiving your comment and I see what you're referring to. Thanks for pointing it out.
