Arguably the best band to emerge from the 2000s, The Warning's success is attributed to their talent, dedication, and strong connection with their fan base. @AshleeSenpai welcome to The Warning and enjoy the ride cuz it's fuckin wild. 3 girls under 20 with no label behind them pumping millions of dollars into producing albums and videos. And yet I challenge you to find another band from any genre, with a label , that is still fairly new to recording albums, with even half the talent of the 3 ladies here. You will be searching for a long ass time . Plain and simple The Warning are at least in my opinion ahead of groups like Pink Floyd , Metallica , Rush..... when they had 2 albums out. And again just cuz its so impressive, without the millions from a label and a slew of ghost writers. I found these girls 6 months ago and they are in my top 3 favorite bands no doubt. If you search around on KZbin and online you can find a bunch of comments from artists and bands raving about the warning, mushroomhead, the ex drummer from lamb of god just to name a few.

There are a lot of great voices out there. What these young ladies provide above all else is lyrics that SAY something and the passion to make you feel those lyrics. If you don't care for it, fine. You could quit trying to belittle those of us who are fans by going from video to video saying that you can't see it as if you are the ultimate authority. It's fine if you don't like them. Move on.

Even after listening to this song dozens of times, I still find details I hadn't noticed before! The back-and-forth between Dany and Pau is musically nice, but narratively beautiful! I feel genuinely sorry for the Queen in this song, with Dany's aspect of her - the Darkness - so cruelly abusing, tormenting, _breaking_ Pau's aspect - her Conscience, betraying her promises of comfort and consolation in The Sacrifice. Hearing the Queen's aspect that is good and honest say "there's nothing left for me" and surrender to the Whispers That Destroy is heartbreaking - and with Ale being the aspect of the Queen that is Death later on in Hunter (particularly in the performances where she takes lead vocal), her distinctive presence in the backing vocals of this song becomes ominous foreshadowing in retrospect, as if this is the turning point where the Death-aspect is born and the Queen's doom becomes to take her own life in The End - especially since it's her voice along with the Pau/Conscience aspect but sans the Dany/Darkness aspect that says "won't let you win" as if even then, the Queen has decided that she will not live under the Darkness-aspect's control. The amount of narrative subtext conveyed by the arrangement in this song never ceases to amaze me! QotMS is such an absolute masterpiece of musical storytelling - and that's on top of it's amazing sound!

In the 70ies they wouldn't have been taken serious as a women's act. Ask Fanny for details. In the 80 their style of music was the last people wanted to hear. 90ies? Yeah. Maybe early 90ies. This is probably my favorite track from this album. For a song written by a self-described "angsty 14/15-year-old", it shows a musical sophistication far beyond her years. Pau has mentioned that she's mildly embarrassed by this album, but despite a tune or two being vaguely cringy in that way only teenage girls can be (i.e. "The One"), we can cut some slack on that in relation to the pure musicianship and talent all three of them bring.
@Alfwin2 жыл бұрын
Imagine writing an absolute masterpiece of musical storytelling and then being "mildly embarrassed" by it, lmao. Well, that's artists for ya. tbh I wouldn't even describe "The One" as 'vaguely cringey'. Maybe taken in isolation it might be, but as a part of the album, it fills an important narrative role, neatly bridging the gap between Crimson Queen and Stalker, and the tone and word-choice of the lyrics perfectly fits the Queen's mental state at that stage of her story.

What a Rush it must have been for the girls that night. That's where Ale's "roar" came from. Anyone who has ever performed live if front of a crowd who are into it and had the show go well knows it.

He visto decenas de conciertos de The Warning, pero el directo del Lunario es IMPRESIONANTE. Ellas tocaban en Mexico, yo celebraba mi boda en España. El mismo día, a la misma hora. Imposible tener una banda sonora mejor!

@@nizaerodr Yes, I have been to Red Rocks, so I know how good that would be. Unfortunately there was no-one performing at that time, but that natural amphitheatre would totally explode their sound (or their sound would explode it, not sure which!)

This is absolutely jaw dropping amazing! Love that Pau gets to share the vocal center stage with Dany on some of these. Gotta give her props for belting out while sitting down, that takes extreme talent. \m/
