Good video! Good, Helpful Hints. May add its so helpful to buy large silica packs and always store boat and cars/crawlers/MTs with them inside the body. Best to pop the hatch open. If I have an Oh Chit episode I will dry, blow everything off, lint free towels on motors, oil/grease everything. Store the victim boat in a small guest bath with a dehumidifier running at least overnight. Saved me a few times.

Take precautions before you sink it. You can buy liquid electrical tape or plasti dip and use this to seal around the servo. Paint it onto the receiver circuit board and around any openings to the battery. Then use dielectric grease on all the electrical connectors. If you take the time to do these things water will never be an issue again. Peace Big B "Boat Crew"

I always tape my hatch cover over the joint to stop the cover coming off and to seal the joint, works well seeing as I've had a few flip overs, dry as a bone

Hey bro first of all ty for this vid. I watched it about 2 weeks ago n I needed it today. I guess a turtle or a fish was poed that I was running the boat today n it knocked over my blackjack 24!!!! I let the current bring it in but also had to run the motor while it was upside down. Haven't gotten my fishing pole yet. Next on the list. But I just couldn't believe that my boat got turned over!!!! My hatch didn't come off so the motor n the esc where dry. I was concerned about the transmitter but when I opened it up it was bone dry... Ty again for this vid if I hadn't seen it b4 hand I would've been freeken out.!!!!!

If you do conformal coating on the ESC & reciever and the servo electronics board, then pack the whole servo with dielectric grease, you would save 90% of the electronics and never have issues with them submerged. All else like you did clean with Corrosion X and lube. Would be better to spray motor with Corrosion X before running so if gets submerged nothing will happen just let air out. Only issue will be the lipo battery unless sealed in a bag or box.

Should be good, oil the motor bearings and grease the shaft, make sure receiver is dry.. Nine times out of ten, the servo will be the first to go if the boat was fully submerged

@IRONCLADRC6 ай бұрын
Dang that's a bummer brother, try this method if it's not to deep, remember they glid while sinking so the hull maybe 30-40 feet away from where you actually saw it sink
