They’ve gone to GC AND GU TRAINS NOW and a few are train tours 90’s ... that’s Grand Central and Grand Union from Paddington and Euston

KLF 5454 Wrong. The Class 90s from Greater Anglia belong to LSL and Freighliner. They won’t be used by Grand Central (or Grand Union?).

That's how they are always formed. Just as on the WCML 87 - 90s & ECML 91s they where formed with the loco towards the country end direction. I assumed to do with the depot arrangements.

I will be sad when these go, brings and end to a very long history of loco haulage on the GEML. Though I guess we will still see some 90s about on freight, and now on Blackpool services with Mk4s! I wonder how the new 745s compare with the Mk3 for comfort and refinement? I hope they are better than those awful IETs we now suffer with on the ECML!!

I will say the ride and general comfort on the new trains is better but the seats are not, very hard on the bottom. Not good for a ride much longer than 30 mins.

@@SPRailways That seems to be a common theme among many of the new trains - rock hard, poorly shaped seats with little/no cushioning! I think the DaFT need to be challenged on that as there is no excuse for repeatedly messing up such a critical element of the new trains. It was never a problem until very recently so I really can't fathom it whats going on there!

THE IETs are NOT AWFUL whatsoever southeastern have them as do GWR I’ve done all your just upset being OLD that you always want stock that’s 50 years old to continue!! It’s NOT SAFE THESE ARE OLD AND NOT DISABLED PROOF ENOUGH give over I don’t do SECOND CLASS journeys only first you get what you pay for !!

Yes as well as other overhead lines but as freight locomotives not for passenger service anymore.

I miss them so much. Since they have been replaced by the Class 745 Flirts. Used to travel on them many times. At least the Class 745s are much nicer, quieter trains. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_745

I prefer the 90’s, the seats were more comfortable and the doors were in separate compartments.

The flirts can only do 100 but the class 90s can do 110, but the flirts have faster acceleration
