Just to add. Sinn use Premium (Top) grade movements as standard (that's one down from Chronometer grade) in all their watches. No Standard or Special (Elabore) grades here. They typically come calibrated as deadly accurate as Marc says. Also, the SW220 that comes in the _Sinn 104_ is gaining quite a good reputation for itself as a movement. My own Sinn 104 (I have the white dial) is stunningly accurate.

I'm inclined to agree, barring the occasional reversing wheels issue. Two months in, mine is +0.03 spd on good days, resting crown up, and around +5-10 spd on bad days, when the issue hinders full winding of mainspring. Still within +/- 15 spd spec though.

Measurements taken in this video differ from the Sinn/Watchbuys website. Lug to lug here was 50mm vs 46.5mm on the website; thickness on this video was 12mm vs 11.5mm on the website. Also, the bracelet tapers from 20mm to 18mm. Measurements from most other reviews and websites list numbers closer to the Sinn/Watchbuy numbers.

Own two . Great watches . I’ve had one for over 10 years already . Still strong. Over a layover in Frankfurt , I hopped a train and went over to their Romerberg store downtown. Nice people. If you’re going to have a cult watch, this is it. I wear it mostly at work where my Rolexes would be too pretentious.

Nice review. What always kills me is that the security of the hex screwed pins within the bracelet are TOTALLY negated by the weakness of the spring pins at the clasp and lugs. Not the only brand to do this. Gotta do all hex or none.

Absolutely right about that pin on the clasp. I have had two new Sinns fail right out of the box new at that junction point. And the clasps and bracelets for a bunch of their models are crudely finished(relative to cost) and often have sharp edges and sticky links. Great watches but they need to work those quality issues out. Never had a 104 so maybe it does not apply to that model. It does apply to the UX, 856 and T1 I have. --Michael

I just got my Sinn 104 this week (white dial with brown leather strap) for a steal, brand new $1399 (the site I purchased from raised the price to $1699 the next day, out of stock at watchbuys). I have wanted a German watch for awhile and this one fit the bill (my wrist is too big for most Nomos watches, there are a lot of watches I prefer for the price over Glashutte Original, and A. Lange is a grail at a price I can’t justify).

I still have no 104 because I'm not sure which color I should choose. Black is always nice, but I also like the white one, blue is nice indeed, grey is not bad either and I like the green one, too :-)

Not sure how you got 51mm lug-to-lug. This dimension is actually 46mm, which is the reason why such a large watch wears so well on a variety of wrists.

I love my 104! I shoot guns, workout, chop and hammer things, I’m even going swimming with the manatees in Florida next year. It’s such a good hybrid watch. It’s my first high end watch. I’m looking at the sinn U50 next. Great video!

Definitely a Sinner 😈 I have a 103 st sa chronograph and a 556A. Both do exactly what they are supposed to do; provide accurate time in any situation, surfing, cycling, kayaking, hang gliding or at work. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I think they use elabore’ ebauches. That’s right below the top grade which I believe is adjusted to 5-6pos. And the elabore’ is 3 positions. Ive heard they adjust the elabore most to really tight tolerances. I wished they would allow the upgrade to “top grade” at least like Laco. I like the EZM.

Hi Mark I have 2 104s the standard black and the lovely Limited Blue Arabic , personally I think they are great value. If they were sold in retail that would be double the price. I agree they are not luxury watches they are mid range probably better than Oris but below Tudor. The use of Top grade movements is a real plus. The only drawback is the clasp on the H link, just a little work would really improve it . One of nicer aspects is the bezel which is really smooth and real quantity. Time keeping on my black one 2.5 years is about +3.5, the new Blue is approx -1. Highly recommend I personally would never spend more on a watch.

I personally think that with the fine link bracelet it is above Tudor. Tudor in house is not strictly in house. Rolex SA set up a company to manufacture movements for Tudor and to sell to other companies. Norqain I belive have the same movements as Tudor. The SW220 regulated by Sinn is more stable and accurate than in most Tudor watches. I like Tudor, have a few, but in some ways this watch does beat it I think. Both great and af half the price of a Tudor watch as Sinn do not pay celebrities to endorse its a great option. The blue Arabic version looks great 👍

Definitely a Sinn lover. Sold my Rolex explorer II polar 16570 and have been rocking my Sinn 104 green dial since i bought it new. Also purchased a Sinn U1 Blue that is a great wearing chunky watch. Not a fan of the h link for the 104, i think 104 looks better on a strap...really shows off those great lugs...wear mine on a barton rubber.

I have the white dial version. A nice solid well designed watch but my one gains 6 seconds a day. I can”t handle that so it gets very little wrist time. The only reason I keep it is because it is the only day/date watch that I have. I only wear it when I go on holiday.

Nice watch and great brand. Wear a Sinn 856 b uhr teg hard steel on bracelet. Great daily scratch proof metal. Only thing the clasp. Get use to it and forget about the clasp issue. Stay healthy safe and cool.

Honestly for those Sinn prices there’s no excuse for having friction fit stamped clasps. It’s bad enough Seiko hs stamped clasps, but everyone complains about it on Seiko or even Invicta, and yet everyone dismisses it on +1300 Sinn watches. Unbelievable.

Not collectible just a incredible useable watch, one to wear not stare . The all blue limited 104 is fantastic , one of the few watches non watch people always notice and like. Sinn are king of the mid price ranges, more affordable than Tudor, better made than Oris. They are ultimate daily wear watches.

For C24 reference within EU I'm hard pressed finding 104 and 103 at less than retail be them used or new. The Lichtenstein dealer is lower in price but when importing to most of the EU some taxes get added. I'd say as the price hike continues you'll make your money back in a year or two. But i guarantee it - you won't be selling the 104....
