Celtic Rock Instrumental (My Own Composition)
This piece ‘Sionnach Abu’ is an Instrumental Celtic Rock Song that i wrote to reflect a scene of old where an Irish Clan or Tribe were walking towards battle.
The first part (Acoustic) sets the scene of The Warriors making their way towards the battle - it’s the calm before the storm.
The second part (Electric) where the band enters is the battle full on. It’s all out War. It’s savage. It’s carnage. The music changes and ebbs and flows to reflect this.
My specific inspiration for the song and video, being a Kearney myself was of the well known Historical figure Tadhg o’ Catharnaigh King of Teathbha in Ireland (before his death in 1084). He was said to be a very clever or even cunning individual. So much so that he was nicknamed ‘Sionnach’ which is the Irish word for ‘The Fox’ He was so well liked and respected that even after his death several generations of o’ Catharnaigh chose to be known as Sionnach or ‘Foxes’ (in English) And heading into battle it is said their WarCry was ‘Sionnach Abu’ (Fox Forever)
This will hopefully explain the use of the Fox (Sionnach) in the video (visual and audio).
