Breaking Boundaries tells the story of the most important scientific discovery of our time - that humanity has pushed Earth beyond the boundaries that have kept Earth stable for 10,000 years, since the dawn of civilization. The 75-minute film takes the audience on a journey of discovery of planetary thresholds we must not exceed, not just for the stability of our planet, but for the future of humanity. It offers up the solutions we can and must put in place now if we are to protect Earth’s life support systems.
Coming soon to Netflix.

The full documentary should be made free for all to watch. Schools, social media, big billboard, all the way to the big industrialised countries and also developing Africa etc... Everywhere! Rather watch this than tiktok dance clips. A wake up call for all before human mankind really reach the point of no return.💔 Stop living under the stone. The world today is so much different from the world I know 20 or 40 years ago. Don't you feel it? Very well produced and insightful documentary 👏

I don't judge them but I think once you find out there's stuff you can do like not buying plastics and you're not doing anything about it, then there's no right to complaint. It may be that all life hangs in the balance with each other, so lose too many links & the whole thing collapses. I don't know, but I don't want to find out either, as that's not costructive. What is constructive, worthwhile is fully reforesting, ending petroleum use, even pumping it back where it belongs, as all the current volcanoes can tell us that oil is the fuel for Her molten core. Then growing microalgae in open-skied deserts awaiting reforestation, as microalgae is the fastest growing plant type known, so makes oxygen & consumes carbon quicker than anything known and both are needed. So wake the fuck up to reality and enjoy life -- whatever it takes to appreciate it's worth saving, then climb on board & start planting, advocating...

@@paulnyssen6448 thank you for the recommendation, I'm going to check it out - always happy to widen my knowledge and/or listen, watch something nature/universe related. :) Obviously I have no proof of Life existing elsewhere but I believe it simply because there are so many lifeforms on Earth on every scale (micro, macro), adapting to all kinds of environments, that I find it absolutely possible. But you and Mr. Sagan are absolutely right: this kind of Life we have on Earth is special in many ways! So many things had to (and still has to) align to make it the way it is today, which enables Life to thrive and eventually us humans to exist and live. It is absolutely fascinating! Like all the protective shields the Solar system provides and the Earths own magnetic field that exists due to the melted core and so much more...but I digressed. Anyways our lifeform is only supported on the Earth and can't live without it - I think this is something many people forget.

carbon that is trapped in the ground at one time, was in the atmphere about 3 billion years ago. This was before the period of plant life or any life that could photosynthesize co2 into oxygen. at that time the atmphere temperature was 300-400F. As O2 was being interjected by Cyanobacteria, and new plant life was born, it would suck up co2 and eventually the global atmphere stabilized to 59F and that led to a habitable life. Mankind if now burning hydro carbons and its reversing the carbon life cycle.

Too bad the full documentary isn't available on KZbin or DVD. This needs to be shown in all schools. The message will get across more so if it was on cable / public tv too. They showed Earth 2100 back in 2011, that was good and watching it today they were right about CV19 and most extreme weather actions.

Well actually, at least in my case, no. After this I'm back to my search for tutorials I watch to help me learn how to run machines I've made from what I took out of the landfill the past 15 years. This is solar powered and most of my solar panels I took out of the landfill and fixed them. Same with my computers. The electronics I'm recycling isn't because the parts are expensive to me. It's about the price the earth has had to pay for them. To priceless, to then, throw away, so I can buy new. KZbin is helping me learn how to do this. And that said, I gotta get back to it. Peace.

I'm doing my part, and it's way more impactful than saving water or turning off the lights - and, that is, not having children. No matter how much I try to not impact the planet, if I have kids, even only one, it won't matter, because even if my kid also grows up to care about the planet, they'd still end up creating a lot of waste and using a lot of resources, and if they also have children of their own, well, you can see where this is going.

I don't think that people are truly aware of how pressing this issue is. Here in the UK, our government has thrown everything into dealing with Covid-19, and I worry that this pandemic has been an inconvenient distraction away from the real threat to our continued existence. We need a response akin to the Covid response, throw everything at the problem.

Sir David Attenborough has no time to lose. At his stage of life he has a limited period of time to prepare for the possibility of meeting his Creator, the creator of his spirit. For many the event is only a possibility and they react by avoiding or denying it. But the prospect is so significant that it is a possibility that demands very serious consideration and both the courage and humility to face it. History determines that only Christ has claimed to be God and provided evidence to back that up. He says "I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No man comes to the Father but by me". There is no point in being a famous successful person if one ignores his spiritual nature and future.

@@alistairmcintosh3872 I think you need to read John's Gospel. It is abundantly clear that Jesus was crucified on the basis of his claims of divinity. There is stronger way of stating your claim than accepting crucifixion rather than denying the allegation.
@tamaking7104
@tamaking7104 3 жыл бұрын
@@alistairmcintosh3872 You need to read the gospels again. Did he say "I am God", in English?, no. but he said he is the "I AM" which the religious leaders knew exactly what he meant and demanded him to be crucified because he "being a man claimed to be God" If this was not true Jesus would have been very quick to kill any misunderstanding for truth's sake and also to save his life. It cost him his earthly life by a very cruel and humiliating death to make this statement about his divinity. He was either God, having backed up his outlandish claim by his actions and rising from the dead; or he was a deluded madman who faked a resurrection, which no credible historian suggests.
