What wonderful surprise to find this video unexpectedly recommended by KZbin. Sir Edmund's service and commitment to the Sherpa people of Nepal is very impressive - as much so as the people he serves. I pray for all Sherpa children in the Khumbu (at the very least) and hope that they gain enough education that no Sherpa ever again has to risk his life on the mountain unless it is their choice to do so. I also admired his reaction to the 40-odd climbers who walked past injured climber David Sharp. He spoke like a true elder statesman of the mountain.

I don’t even know why I’m interested if Mallory summited. The answer wouldn’t change my life for a second. Still, I’m grateful for Ankers expedition finding Mallory& looking for answers. Mountaineers all have a big ego. So, I don’t think Mallory would mind that we’re still interested in him.
