Well said. It did make me laugh when he talked about speeding up the game though, considering how often he used to slow the game down!
@ChaosRagorA3 жыл бұрын
@@sportysbusiness his argument was that the game should be sped up now due to the absurb cost of the daily tickets, for the sake of the fans. As for test cricket 40 years back... due to modern day tech and how 'quick and easy' life can be people these days potential new fans dont have the patience for 5 day tests. Slowing down the game can be a very useful tactical move but it doesnt adapt well in the modern day.

Isnt it absolutely pathetic that were so starved for this that it seems exceptional? This type of content was 95% of TV 30-40 years ago, but now its hard to find a straight, white Englishman on TV, and to find one with common-sense opinions that the majority share is near impossible.

WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Thank god I live in France where I am not surrounded by right wing bigots like Farage and your good self.
@ravenmasters24673 жыл бұрын
@@malcolmf1381 And here we go with typical left-wing double standards and hypocrisy. If a black person or muslim expresses a wish to see black or muslim positive role-models on TV and media in general then thats perfectly fine. Likewise if theyre gay or trans. Ditto a woman. If any of them express a preference or even a desire for their MP to be the same as them thats fine. Its perfectly acceptable and logical that these groups of people empathise with poeple who are the same as them. But as soon as you substitute any of these for "straight/white/male" and god-forbid all 3, then that person is a bigoted, hateful, spiteful monster who is just one moustache away from committing genocide. The most hatred out there comes from the left.
@zargonthemagnificent3303 жыл бұрын
@@ravenmasters2467 You seem to have a knee-jerk reaction to criticism, which is both identical to what you attempt to criticise, and is similarly predictable. In essence however, you're arguing for a return to a status quo when ALL we saw were people who look and think and act just like you. That simply won't hold water.

For Geoffrey when he was still a young batsman: “Freddy Trueman bowling at Headingley in the 1950s. Runs in almost from the boundary where we schoolboys were watching. The ball is at the body line and hits the batsman on his box. He goes down writhing in pain. Freddy loudly says “hey lad, don’t rub em, count em!”
