100 percent agree. Lots of people argued that a follow-up to Trek wouldn't work, and it probably wouldnt have if they'd tried to recreate Kirk. Patrick Stewart brought a finesse and wit to the role that no one envsioned. He simply sidestepped the comparison issue by being incomparable.
