I always liked the idea that Michael was the one to discover Charlie, thus kicking off his investigations of Freddy’s. That way all three lore keeper mini-games sort of focus on a major character’s origin: William as “springtrap”, Charlie as the puppet, and Mike wanting to investigate. That just makes the most sense to me personally, fantastic theory!

I think the most narratively satisfying identity of the couch potato is Henry. It gives an explanation for why he wasn’t at the Pizzaria watching his daughter or why the security puppet needed to exist at all when he could have just been watching Charlie himself. After Michael killed the BV it makes sense that William would want someone to keep an eye on him and make sure that he doesn’t get into any more trouble while he’s off getting drunk to drown out his sorrows, so asking his friend and business partner makes the most sense. The security puppet would have been made because Henry didn’t love the idea of leaving Charlie unattended but might not have wanted her with him in William’s house with Michael who was going through a lot of trauma and may have been acting out violently. One day when William was in a drunken rage and saw Charlie outside, he knew that Henry was occupied watching Michael and so he took the opportunity to kill her while Henry wasn’t around to witness the aftermath. One thing that still doesn’t make sense is how Henry didn’t hear a window break, but I think that can be explained by the TV being too loud or because the heavy rain drowned out the sound

From a storytelling perspective it just makes sense to be Micheal, the characters acting like how we know these characters act is more than enough for me, sometimes this community forgets that more than anything else, Scott thinks of himself as a storyteller, so although theorizing this game series solely on technical evidence is more than valid, approaching it with the idea in mind that the person behind the wheels is a writer and storyteller first and foremost is equally if not even more important.

10:22 Yeah, I completely agree. Given how the orange man reacts to his kid just locking a door, it doesn't make sense that he'd just silently move on if his other kid UNCONCERNEDLY TOLD him to not bother his sibling. He'd probably give the other kid sh¡t too. But his silence would make sense if it was someone who'd he give slightly more respect to. Even when drunk. Like say, another adult or his wife.

That's exactly why I cannot find sense in using "Michael may be a bully, but he still cares about his brother" as a defense. Whoever couch person is, they know about orange man's alcoholic and abusive tendencies. A child speaking to his own abusive father like that would likely just end up with the father redirecting the abuse to the child.

Mike seeing Charlotte would make sense. If the bite of 83 was a plot point shared between William the antagonist and Mike the protagonist then it would make sense for the double sided character motivation thing to continue. In this case when William becomes a Child murderer Mike is set on the path to save them.

Something I've thought about a lot is Scott's old scottgames quote about what is seen in the shadows is misunderstood in the mind of a child. While at the time it may have been referring to Purple Guy helping a guy get a suit on and it being seen as stuffing by the CC, the idea of Purple Guy being in the shadows might mean that William is only Purple Guy when hes in the dark doing killing and other nefarious deeds (i.e. save them minigame), and otherwise his normal self can be represented with orange. Thematically this could tie in with Michael becoming Literally Purple, as Mike hue shift can then be seen as symbolic of him lowering himself into Williams realm of darkness in order that he can fix everything thats happened.

The main reason William is orange to me is to draw a connection between between Psychic Friend Fredbear and William. Another reason is to debunk Miketrap, as Scott mentioned once how he adds clarification to mistakes in the next game. In Sister location, people thought the ending cutscene meant Michael was Springtrap and the killer. Directly calling out Charlie’s killer “later that night” as someone who isn’t literally purple was meant to disprove Miketrap. At least my reasoning

Just had a (probably poorly thought out) thought: Under WillPlush, William acts drastically differently to Crying Child if that is him in the MM room. As Fredbear Plush, he tries to steer Crying Child into being brave and cautious, even if some of his actions/speech veers into what one could interpret as tough love. In MM, he's overtly aggressive and abusive, shouting at whoever is in the room to not lock their door (even though, when we see Crying Child in FNAF 4, he hates being locked in a room even if it's his own) and promising to make "him" pay when he gets back home. And, while it's not impossible for parents to have the following dynamic with their young children, parents screaming at/taking issue with their kids to not lock their door/stay holed up in their room typically happens when they are teenagers. Also under WillPlush, there are hints that William may not have a good relationship with Michael during FNAF 4. One of the very first things he says about Michael to Crying Child is "What did he do this time?" implying Mike has a history of causing his family grief/trouble.

Nice theory :D I personally do think the footprints are Golden Freddy, largely in the way Game Theory portrayed it in their ultimate timeline. It's Mike's brother returning home and largely just getting confused, kinda similar to the story Coming Home with Susie and her sister. So yeah, it's a ghost leaving footprints, but I mean, they can write so *shrug* :3 But yeah, this is an interesting idea too. I could definitely see this being the case. I think either way this almost HAS to be Mike. It just makes the most sense to me.

I'd argue Golden Freddy can still cause the footprints mainly because of the implications that Golden Freddy is haunted by Crying Child. CC visits his grieving brother and overwhelmed by guilt and grief after seeing the animatronic that kills his brother he goes to his brother's grave. It's not perfect but to me that makes as much sense as Scarecrow theory. Other than one bit of head canon I have I like this theory!

18:45 I think the sister location opening line is again something often ignored in the fandom Baby’s location was made in response to the massive success and unfortunate closing of Freddy’s, it can’t be the Fnaf 2 location because it was opened for only a few weeks (Possibly twice but that’s a debate for another time) before it was shut down, and the Fnaf 1 is very clearly going through hard times and probably didn’t even last a year if Fnaf 3 takes place 30 years after it closes (Meaning Mike was probably the last security guard there before it closed down.) it has to be after the closure of Freddy’s 0 (Most likely due to the MCI) because of what we see in Fnaf 4, there’s tons of merch and a possible TV show it’s clear that the brand is pretty much successful at that point with the characters being seen as children’s icons (Aside from Spring Bonnie who I have to wonder was pretty much seen as the member of the group no kid liked.) Also with you bringing up the canonicity of the nightmares I think the more interesting question is that are the Funtimes Freddy’s brand characters? While they were created by Afton robotics there’s at lot in their design that would later be transferred to the Toys (Chica’s general design, Bon Bob’s brighter blue coloration and everything about Mangle and Funtime foxy) and Henry having documents from the rental company in fnaf 6’s insanity ending which you could argue that he could’ve just got them from the bunker. But personally I think it makes more sense narrative wise that the funtimes were Freddy’s characters alongside Afton’s OCs, but after baby’s closed on its first day and Afton was fired they just kept them around for the rental service unknowingly killing who knows how many people before being rendered unusable thanks to the events of sister location. Idk it’s just a random thought I had.

@@higueraft571 The problem is that it’s implied that Afton had the bunker all the way back in the Fredbear days even before the bite (The Fredbear plush says enough) and also Mike was sent there specifically by Afton, meaning Afton for some reason can’t go to his own Bunker, and we know it was still active during the events of sister location since there are other employees working there. I’m not saying your theory is wrong but I think there’s some small holes.

That's not necessarily true. Hand Unit says this on night 1 "Due to the massive success and even more so the unfortunate closing of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, it was clear that the stage was set, no pun intended, for another contender is children's entertainment. Unlike most entertainment venues, our robotic entertainers are rented out for private parties during the day". If anything, that second sentence is the one that's ignored by the fandom. Hand unit isn't saying that Circus Baby's Pizza World opened up in response to the closing of Freddy's Pizza. He's saying that Circus Baby's entertainment and Rentals did. This means that at the very least, entertainment and rentals opened up after at least one of the closings of a Freddy Fazbear's Pizza location. Pretty much all your speculation on when Baby's location was opened I believe is correct, except that it's all appplied to entertainment and rentals and not pizza world. Entertainment and rentals opens as a response to Freddy's 0 closing. That essentially means that Circus Baby's pizza world (and Elizabeth's death) had to have happened sometime before the closing of the first freddy's location, leaving us with 3 possibilities. 1. During operation of Freddy's 0 2. In between the operations of Freddy's 0 and Fredbear's 3. During operation of Fredbear's And of course, the debate surrounding when Elizabeth's death happens is the difficult part.

I like the idea of Michael seeing Charlie's corpse rather than the BV a lot. If the BV saw Charlie that means he saw a dead body (Which a lot of BVrunners believe) , got traumatized.... and got mocked and bullied from the trauma from seeing some he likely new and probably was on good terms with's dead lifeless corpse in the middle of the night... and got killed because of it. One of the main bullies being his oldest brother. That makes everyone in FNAF 4 a huge fucking asshole more than they already are. Kids aren't saints for sure but at the same time they would have had known murder had taken place here recently and still mocked that he was reasonably scared of being murdered. And I'm pretty sure that Charlie's death wasn't a missing person's incident. They all knew she died no ifs or buts about it. But also it doesn't line up for what the NPCS in FNAF 4 say when talking to BV if that's what he did see, they either talk about how cool Freddy's is and the party or tease the BV about his fears that they play off as nonsense. The pigtail girl's lines everyone uses to try and prove MCI83 come off as more as some shit she made up on the spot to scare him as a fake scary story rather than something she knows happened "Why are you so scared? See you at the party ha ha ha" then there's Freddy mask bully (Or atleast the kid who looks like them) straight up says "Hahaha! No one is else is scared! Why are you? Quit being a baby!" oh gee maybe because a child murder is currently on the loose! Also this means nobody else is really scared of being next? *Really?* Again kids aren't saints and certainly aren't the smartest but under BVrunner and BV seeing charlie's dead corpse they come off as assholes or idiots and honestly both. Michael's character also gets worst because he goes from this older brother willing to step up to his drunk abusive father who then suddenly breaks bad after seeing his traumatized brother crying over seeing a dead body and later ends up getting his smaller brother killed because he thought his brother's trauma was funny that's a near complete 180 from how if he was both couchman and foxybro. Michael seeing the corpse is makes much more since and having his motive to hope around Freddy's locations start at Charlie's murder him wanting to find Charlie's murderer to not only bring him to justice but to relive guilt over the bite and redeem himself honestly is way more narrative satisfying and the story gets better in general. It also explains why he went to the FNAF 1 - 2 locations in the first place. He's looking for evidence of the murderer which gives "Tampering with the Animatronics" more meaning because up until now it was just a power trip he gave himself for the lols but now we know he was likely looking for finger prints, anything left behind in the suits or maybe even the bodies themselves. Hell it could be possible he was the MCI-Era's nightgaurd looking for clues depending how old he was (IMO that would be a better game than any possible fredbear dinner game lore and story wise.). Then there's the whole "What is seen in the dark is often misunderstood in the eyes of a child" quote which has always made me think that what the BV saw is really nothing important and really the game shows us this in the purple man easteregg which shows William help an employee inside a suit which in the eyes of a small child would look scary. Some people do argue that he saw the puppet hold Charlie and thought he had killed her or fucking shadow freddy showing the BV and bv thought he was fredbear but your window footprints disprove Shadowf doing anything towards the window. Besides it doesn't add up to what we see in FNAF 4. They mock him because he saw really nothing at all and are just teasing him for being irrational as nothing has happened... yet.. Great video squawk

Finally a theory for Midnight Motorist that's not making absurd leaps in logic and nonsensically trying to force book elements into the game lore. I think you pretty much nailed the broad strokes here. Assuming your theory holds true, then we should consider that maybe fredbear plush in fnaf 4s orange and Williams orange here could represent Williams parental side. Fred plush from 4 could have been the dying crying child projecting his father into his plush bear, just like in that horror game Among The Sleep. Teddy bears often are seen by children as bedtime protectors and are usually gifted personality traits resembling their father. Scott may have retconned the bite of 87 to 83 in an attempt to get us to understand that the crying child died first. After Michael runs away then William goes mad and starts killing kids if he can't have a family then others shouldn't have one either type of deal. The headless animatronic from the FNAF 4 mini game may not have had a body stuffed in it; a child seeing a headless animatronic would freak out either way. Plenty of examples from Disneyland over the years. Most importantly, out of all the known canonical FNaF characters Michael seems to be the only logical possibility. The Crying child always responded to fear with paralysis, running away for him in the dead of night is beyond the realm of believability, Teenager runaways all too common and believable. 😱

Okay, I've been obsessed for the past week with the idea that the crying child and the vengeful spirit are the same spirit and Mike is the one experiencing hell in UCN. The way Chica talks to the player in that game - "I was the first, I have seen everything. / I have seen him, the one you should not have killed!" There's no logical reason for the vengeful spirit to not be Chica if we're talking about William's victims. You could brush it off, but the idea that the crying child is the vengeful spirit...it fixes so many of those plot holes. The idea of the crying child's soul being fractured - speaking through the mediocre melodies in UCN. Unfortunately I'm not a fnaf theorist and this series doesn't take up enough space in my brain to keep track of how many plot holes that assumption would cause and thus idk if its a valid theory or not. I have literally only played pizzeria simulator (the runs that dont require any animatronics to try and kill you during the night) and fnaf world because i dont play horror games and I have read exactly 0 of the books and I don't plan on changing that. So like I said, it needs to be taken with a grain of salt. But I can't stop thinking about it, I think I need to go through all of Game Theory's videos (particularly including the ones where various theorists from the community just discuss shit) so I can stop obsessing over the viability of this theory. (also, commenting while this page says there are 69 comments for me so i apologize for ruining the funny number)

I mean why would she be more vengeful than Charlie who Henry says is the first if death order is the deciding factor? Dying first in the MCI (or coming to life first in my interpretation) doesn't make a character more vengeful. I talk about MikeHell (the theory you're depositing) in my "Mike: the fleshed out character" video briefly, but there are dozens of problems. The most glaring being that Nightmarionne says "I am the fearful reflection of what you have created" referencing how he's the horrific version of the Puppet which William created by killing Charlie.

@@siresquawks That's a good point, Chica and Henry do contradict each other after all. After reviewing the quotes a bit more I go back and forth. It really feels like they're speaking to two different characters here and it's really confusing. We just still don't have a motivation for Cassidy other than "one kid got mad about being murdered" but considering another kid explicitly says she doesn't hate the player (presumably William) despite what he did. But also, "it's me" has been Golden Freddy's catchphrase for so long, and presumably to Mike in games where the fandom says Mike was the player character. It's just... a lot of stuff doesn't fit, and a lot of stuff does fit, but that's how the FNAF theorizing cookie crumbles I suppose.

"and also William being a drunk and abusive just lines up a lot more" This is actually what makes me second guess my inclination to say its definitely William. Nothing at all about William's character suggests this kind of impulsive and thoughtless behavior. Just the opposite, every action and line of dialogue of his in the entire franchise is extremely thoughtful and intentional. The only basis the community seems to have for saying this "lines up" is because William is a bad guy, and drinking and being abusive is the kind of thing bad guys in general do, not anything related to William specifically. There's no specific basis for saying that any of the behaviors of Orange guy are similar to the behaviors of William. This is a fan invention, not a canon invention. We have very very few examples of how William directly behaved with his children, and of the examples we have, none of them are similar to, or as careless as, Orange guy. We certainly have no evidence of William being a sloppy drunk. I'm still overwhelmingly inclined to think Orange guy is William, if for no other reason than lack of plausible alternatives. Henry doesn't fit, and we have almost zero other adult men in the series it could even hypothetically be. Still, its worth mentioning that if this is William, its unusual behavior for William in the series, at least as far as we've actually seen.

Not really for any reason, as far as we know... He trapped Elizabeth in a bunker, with an on-demand Shock system. (In the books, not the games) He also gave her a pretty hefty Slap, alongside her generally being depicted as a "Golden Child" who needs his Attention/Validation. Something we likely see in FNAF 6, how she keeps talking to William, seeking his Approval constantly. At least a few cases of Negligence, Emotional/Psychological Abuse, and Physical Abuse...

Okay awesome. Your video has inspired me to make the most outlandish theory possible. I believe that the Orange guy is a guy named Freddy because they're both orange. Also William Afton was outside of the window, he did throw a brick, and he also can teleport. The person inside the house is Michael, and the person who was supposed to be inside of the room was also Michael. It's all Michael. Midnight Motorist is telling us the story of Freddy coming home from his job as a British racecar driver where he speaks to his wife, Michael Afton, about their son, Michael Afton, who was kidnapped by the ghost of William Afton (who is unrelated to either Michael or Michael in this story). One idea I have had for a long time is that the nightmare animatronics are based off of the physical abuse of William to Michael. I also believe the reason why he runs away is that he's afraid of his father so he's just running so he can run there doesn't have to be a set location for him to go to he's just running away. Another thing is that william had so much money after the success of fredbear's Family diner think about it about it I also think that the TV show you see in FNAF 4 is actually supposed to give you a perspective of how much of success it was to show how much it's made that it got its own TV show. Personally I do agree with this Theory in my opinion I know sounds crazy I don't think midnight Motors is that confusing one thing I always say if you want a complete story a lot of the time the crime child has to die first.

I never thought about the Nightmare’s not being actual animatronics made to torment Mike or CC but as surveillance scarecrows that become literal nightmares in their dreams. It also explains why in UCN one of the nightmares says "I am the fearful reflection of what you have created". Why a reflection if William really made them that way? This makes a lot more sense.

I still believe that the animatronic outside the window is Golden Freddy--because if Mike is going to "that place /again/", he doesn't need to follow Golden Freddy. Just to see him. I believe that the house in the MM game is Henry's, and that he's the one on the couch. William and Mrs. Afton split not long after the Crying Child's death, and Mrs. Afton doesn't want Mike around, so they both have to find a new house. They stay with Henry for a couple of days until they can find an apartment or such. MM takes place during that time where they're still house-searching. (This would also explain how William would know where Charlie was. She was going to a birthday party or something at Freddy's and he knew because he was staying at Henry's house. Or Henry has realized William's behavior is problematic and is having Charlie spend more time at Freddy's until he can get William out of the house. If they've only been there a day or two, this would make sense. Henry may also be avoiding kicking them out because he's concerned for Mike's safety.) In this scenario, after Golden Freddy, an animatronic Henry built, gets a kid killed, he takes the animatronic (or at least the suit) and buries it in the forest near his house. However, as the Crying Child is possessing Golden Freddy, his spirit comes along with. At one point or another, Mike decides to visit the mound (it might be the best option he's got as a memorial for his brother that he can access), and sees Golden Freddy standing around (and probably acting confused, since he's only recently become possessed). Mike realizes it's the spirit of his brother and begins visiting him to keep him company. Sometimes, Golden Freddy appears outside Mike's window when he's lonely--or, even better, he appears to warn Mike when William is coming home. Mike knows where to go, so Golden Freddy will simply teleport back to the mound. We don't see any footprints there when William visits, because Mike simply hasn't arrived at the mound yet. If the rain is the reason he was leaving footprints, then there wouldn't be tracks from previous visits. The reason there's no glass around the window may be because Mike broke it a day or two ago, and it hasn't been replaced yet, but the glass has been cleaned up. The question, of course, is why Golden Freddy wouldn't be hostile towards Mike. But ask yourself this--when, in the games, is he actually hostile towards Mike? He just sits there and says "it's me". He's broken and lonely. He probably just misses his family, or struggles to remember his life, as you posited in the video, though is aware enough to at least remember Mike is his brother. Great video, very thought-provoking, and helped me think deeper about my opinion on it.

Dave’s theme playing in the “What Is He On About Zone” was hilarious Also yep, I definitely agree when it comes to who is who in this minigame. It just makes the most sense narratively, and honestly I think that’s more important than looking into text color and whatnot (though Tbf I don’t know why Scott made William orange, like William is a character with well-known motifs of rabbits and the color purple, of course this would confuse us). Any other interpretation seems strange and forced to me.

15:28 According to the logbook, he took his first Freddy's job because employees are offered free pizza, and it would be strange if he took his first job in 1987 for _one day,_ tampered with the robots and got fired, and then tried again six years later. It seems like he wasn't really aware of anything until he took his first Freddy's job, which _can_ be either 1987 or 1993, but is probably 1993 going by this logic. Semi-related, but this would also place Sister Location after FNaF 1, assuming 1993 is his first job. SamBar has a pretty good video on Mike as a character that informed most of this comment.

As for the relevance to the theory, it is 100% in his M. O. for William to make 5 robots (assuming Nightmare is a worn down Nightmare Golden Freddy, otherwise it's 6 or 7 depending on the canonicity of Nightmarion) with the exclusive purpose of scaring his remaining child or children from getting close to the machines in the future. A key point of this is that Nightmare Freddy very clearly picks up the protag during FNAF 4. This presents a strong case for the Nightmares having been real machines at some point, in addition to other factors. Mat Pat made a short detailing how its very likely that sound discs give the nightmares their appearance. The big takeaway there is that Golden Freddy's sound disc failed during the events of FNAF4 pointing to either a lack of maintenance or a design flaw.

I wanted to comment on how GRATEFUL I AM, for you pointing out the logbook thing, because some people still to not get the whole Michael having nightmares thing. It's also why I have the theory that I dont believe HW2 will have FNAF4 in it, because if it's an ingame minigame, it's impossible from a lore standpoint. The reason inplace of FNAF4, Help Wanted had those extra minigames is because there just wasnt a way for Fazbear Entertainment to know what Michael had dreamnt about, they took his concept design for Nightmare Fredbear, and just created the other characters based on it, and made up random scenarios because they didnt know what could have possibly occured! Now this may be inconsistent with the fact that FNAF3 VR has the phantoms since they are illusions and dont exist, but regardlessly, great to see someone point this out! :) The logbook is such a misundestood piece of item, alone for the fact people dont get Michael couldnt have had his logbook post FNAF1, since that would have been confiscated along his uniform when he got fired. I have always thought that about the FNAF2 cutscenes, that we're seeing the original pizzeria and MCI awakenings, as it were. The main counters I've seen to that are that they are the FNAF1 versions of the suits, and not the pre-withered Withereds which must have looked different, and that the scenes are apparently listed as dreams in the source or whatever, which I don't put a lot of stock in, especially after learning "man on couch" was a bunch of bunk. The idea that they're just dreams certainly sounds like the simplest answer, until you start asking whose dreams they are and then things get really complicated, especially if you put stock into "FNAF1 suits =/= Pre-Withered suits", because then we have to believe Jeremy or Michael had straight up visions of the future. The stuff about how the weird visual details of FNAF4 match the FNAF3 minigames was a bit of a mind blowing moment for me, as well as a moment of extreme annoyance that once again, FNAF4 just threw these things (and like fifty other random details) out there in a nigh impossible puzzle piece fashion and said, "Fix it." lol

I feel like orange man literally HAS to be William because why would Scott create and semi flesh out an entirely new character for a single mini game when it’s the sixth entry of his game series which was intended to be the finale. All the other adults in the series are never shown to act this way so the only character that would really fit as an abusive drunk father is William. I’ve heard the argument that the other two mini games in Pizza Sim are about victims so midnight motorist has to be about one of William’s victims as well, but if that’s the case why would we be getting so much information about the victim’s parent/guardian to the point that we’re literally playing as them if the point of the mini game is actually the fate of the runaway/“victim” which we never find out.

I also think a lot of people just kinda assume "its like a crappy chuck e cheese" because thats what the establishment was based on. So a lot of people attach the struggling businesses stereotypes to Freddy's I could very easily imagine Afton making a patent for his spring lock system and making loads of cash off of it selling it to different pizzerias and what not but because its never directly shown in game or in the books, its just kinda ignored in favor of the popular opinion of the fanbase.

I think its pretty much confirmed at this point, but the house in the woods is probably Mrs. Afton's house because Afton himself has the house over his bunker and next to Fredbears? Was the house in the woods the first house but then whenever his wife leaves him and Michael live next to Fredbear's? And then why does the house in fnaf 4 minigames look so different from the gameplay? And also, which house does Michael go home too after Sister Location? The house in the woods seems similar because of the TV, but if its the one by Fredbears, then he literally just goes up and down the elevator each day right back into the house. If the theories about the FNAF 6 location being Fredbears is true, then it would mean that Mike's room in Security Breach could literally be part of the house above sister location.

I'm sure this was really obvious to people brighter than I am, but I just thought about how purple is on the opposite side of the color wheel to yellow. This led me down a long tangent of various ideas that many people already came up with (Henry being yellow guy, Mike being yellow guy, etc.), but then I realized; why make this more complicated? I mean, this series has possibly the most convoluted and unnecessarily drawn out lore ever. In a game that was specifically Scott's way of tying loose ends, why would he make things intentionally difficult? I followed that same idea and thought of the most common questions Scott was getting at this time and that's when I thought of this. This is Scott's way of showing us how things actually started. This is literally showing us how purple guy became purple guy, hence why he's yellow. He was trying to show us who purple guy was before he was evil, when he was on the opposite side of the spectrum. At this time, he was still yellow because he was still good. (Side note: No, abuse isn't good but when compared with murder, it's not that horrible.) I believe that at this time, Fredbear's had been shut down earlier that day due to the crying child incident. I don't believe that either William or Henry knew the full extent of what went on for reasons I'll get to later. William, distraught and furious that Henry's animatronic was responsible for something he could only imagine was the end of their joint business venture, had spent the whole day at JR's (which I'm assuming is a local bar). This would explain why in the actual mini game we can swerve erratically on the road, and would also explain why he's turned away from JR's by Henry who was likely there for the same reasons. Now to be honest, the mound still doesn't really make sense here. However, I'm gonna assume that this could be the entrance to William's surveillance area since we know it would have existed around this time and it explains why no dialogue happens when we approach as William would know exactly what the purpose of it is. William goes into the house and runs into who I'm assuming is Mike. If William doesn't know what's happened and Mike is terrified of his dad finding out what happened, him wanting his dad to not see the outside of the room and put the pieces together is perfectly reasonable. I think it's entirely possible that William knows his son witnessed something horrific, but doesn't know exactly what and he has no reason to think anything more yet. I also think it's possible for Mike to be in such a state of grief and guilt that he's unable to articulate what happened to his father. I believe the reason why William still knocked on the crying child's door is similarly because he has no idea yet that his son is dead, otherwise why knock on his door? Here's where things get weird. I think that what we're looking at in the backyard is what happened before the crying child is killed. I believe that Michael and his friends donned the animatronic masks to scare the crying child into going to Fredbear's so that they could continue their "prank" on him there. From what we see in FNAF 4, it's obvious he would only go there as a last resort. I think that it's possible the animatronic footprint we see is from either Mike or one of his friends donning an animatronic suit without parts similar to William's bunny suit before having animatronics. This explains both the footprints and the broken window as well. I think that Midnight Motorist as a whole is supposed to show that as of now, William is not a killer. It's only after he discovers what happened to his son, Mike's role in that, and that it was Henry's faulty animatronic parts that killed his son that he kills Charlotte as a sort of payback. Midnight Motorist is supposed to showcase the tragedy before the tragedy, and how the already unstable and jealous William was able to transform seamlessly into the cold blooded and sadistic purple guy we all know. I know this theory requires a LOT of suspension of belief and it certainly isn't perfect, but it at least explains why purple guy is distinctly not purple here and why it seems as though William is the only one out of the loop but is still upset.

Then there would be the "its me"s coming from the crying child's soul, and the teleportation problem would be eliminated as well. As for the mound, mabe Mike buried the suit...? not quite sure about the continuation ngl. The fredbear might not be too heavy as people can move around when inside the suits, but not sure.

It is scary how most of the theories you present just... Make sense. Somehow, by writing these videos, you're making the mess that is FNAF's narrative not only logical, but like a satisfying story with actual logical connections. I really hope someday you do a whole timeline, I'm really curious how you'd present it all.

I have legit been yelling about this, i do like the idea of maybe the scarecrow idea threw something to try to scare him but broke the window, mike took the opportunity to go and take that thing and bury it so it doesn't come back. But love this idea and glad you were thinking about it, and if somehow this theory is wrong or something, its better than "roBot ChIlDren" like robo kids are a cool idea but so tired of hearing it as gospel and not just a theory. I think Scott really tried to tie everything together, it made sense to him, but I think he didn't realize that we didn't understand the 4th game, which then made it hard to understand the rest of the games and the use of the books, and i like the books, but hate the idea of tieing it to the games, as it makes it harder to understand. Keep up the great work man, sorry that other theorists get all the fame and shit, but you deserve it more as you spit facts and logic.

I know a lot people put Elizabeth’s death after Fnaf 2 as that’s when William discovered remnant, but I’ve always believed it happened in 1986, because it’s the only year that’d fit with both circus baby’s pizza world opening and closing and the rental service opening up after that, I mean that’s the only year we don’t really have a pizzeria set for, we have Fredbear’s in 1983, multiple Freddy’s open between 1983-1985, Fnaf 2 in 1987 and Fnaf 1 in 1988-1993 with 1993 being the last we hear of a Freddy’s being open, plus in the Fnaf 2 phone calls phone guy talks about the withereds acting like the Fnaf 1 robots with moving around at night and stuffing guards into suits at their old location so it would make sense if William saw that and that was what started circus baby’s and research into remnant, plus it would fit with Michaels arc, because sure if you parallel from the books with this then it could be in the case of the games like the books with the original mci that even tho William was arrested and released, the general public thought it was Henry so they’d be excited to see a new pizzeria open from William because they thought he was innocent, but by the time of the DCI and Fnaf 2 they 100% know it’s William since he sneaks in under a fake name and, if it’s like the books and the police compare photos and see that one of their new employees look similar to William, they would be cornering him and he’d have to go on the run, which is why Michael would come to Fnaf 2 because his dad has went on the run and everyone’s accusing him of being the killer, Michael could be hopping pizzeria to pizzeria trying to either find proof William is the killer or trying to disprove it, tampering with the animatronics could be that he has zero engineering skills and maybe planned to put them to zero and deactivate them but accidentally put them on 20 which caused him to face against them, which from here on Michael and William are the last two surviving members and with William on the run and Michael trying to follow his tracks, with William eventually contacting him not knowing he was trying to investigate him and sending him to SL which Michael goes to, but skip forward to the end of the game and Michaels a rotting corpse with Ennard bailing out of him, he goes to find his dad but he’s missing for good this time because he’s been springlocked, Michael vows to find him then the rest of the timeline plays out, that’s my interpretation because it still would make sense with the original story and fits sister location in reasonable places, but hey that’s just a theory, and for all I know I could be horribly horribly wrong 😭, love the videos and theories Sire! Keep up the good work 💯

18:57 There's also the Fnaf 2 newspaper about the animatronics getting scraped and stuff that mentions something about if they reopen one day I'll be on a smaller budget. Of course that's not important to this theory since just like the Fnaf 1 newspaper it takes place AFTER the murders happened.

An escaped funtime could have busted the window. They were imprisoned underground and shocked back into place if they dared to move from their stages. They had to have this extra security added for some reason, the fact that the Fnaf 4 mini game house is so close to the sister location also lends credence to this idea, if a funtime broke early containment it wouldn't have far to walk to get to the Afton residence. Funtime Freddy also has a storage tank so he could break in abduct the kid and leave making ONLY 1 set of footprints both ways.

Been personally working on a timeline for awhile now and I do agree that Mike is the runaway but man this is one of those parts of the lore I wish was either explained better or wasn't included at all. It's filled with Scott-isms like a Orange Guy and a Green Guy at first but then a normal human? But is it just a bald person? A man? A woman? Anything to clarify their age?? Scott why. My isssue is that we have no idea who couch person is. Personally, it makes sense if William's father is babysitting but there's literally 0 evidence that William has a father in his life alive at this time. I assumed the wife would either be dead or separated from William at this point. It's too vague. The mound is also super unclear. I have various ideas but honestly none of them could ever be confirmed. It might be a door that leads to his bunker, but it also might be his son's grave. Or maybe it's the box! Who knows. Anyways, great video! Gave me a lot ot think about. One other things I noted from the video: 2:08 I also think this is the kids waking up to their new bodies, but it does bother me that they're in their FNAF1 designs when they should be in the an unwithered version of their designs from FNAF2. Unless that scene is just showing how they woke up in their new shells before FNAF1 happened.

Here's why I think even is the runaway. The person in the unmarked grave is Elisabeth. William didn't want anyone to find out that one of his animatronics killed his daughter because it would ruin everything. He buried her in the backyard.

That gets into the debate over who died first of course. People reason that the reason her bedroom is empty is simply because she isn't there and everyone always throws out how the Funtimes don't make much sense without putting Evan back together as motivation. This isn't as relevant if you see William as an insane and deranged murderer from the start, but that is less narratively satisfying. On the other hand, if Evan's death is bad publicity or simply a touchy subject, that could also explain the separate grave for Evan. And it doesn't even need to be a grave since it is technically a mound of dirt, it could be literally anything buried, or nothing buried and something else entirely. And here's a thought that randomly entered my head as writing this: What if that's where William hid Charlie's body?

Evan kept going to go see Elizabeth wich angered William. He uses his spring Bonnie suit to keep even from running away. That night it was raining so William couldn't use the spring Bonnie suit because he would die and even ran away again. William than created the nightmares and the torcher room to punish evan and Michael. Michael turns on evan and starts bullying him so that he doesn't run off again. Leading to Michael going to far and killed evan on accident.

Also this “Mike turns on his brother” narrative I’ve seen popping up is just absurd If Michael was put in the “torture room” with nightmares along with the bite victim why isn’t Mike scarred of the animatronic? The way mike bullies the crying child implies Mike thinks his fears are dumb and not valid

In Fnaf 2 Golden Freddy is a physical entity. It's jumpscare can kill you and cause a game over. In Fnaf 1 Golden Freddy is a hallucination as it's presence is caused by multiple hallucination events, it ignores the game mechanics and CANNOT kill Mike. Instead of a game over you get returned to the title screen as though the night you played never happened. The mini games in Fnaf 2 are also the memories of specific animatronics, namely the ones who jumpscare to end them. Golden Freddy does this so it IS real in this location. Fredbear was also the ONLY possible yellow suit that could have been in the back in fnaf 2 as Spring Bonnie was stored at a different location by William Afton and according to Phone Guy in Fnaf 3 was 'noticeably moved' at times meaning it was routinely being used. The yellow suit in Fnaf 2 was used ONCE and caused severely negative behaviour in all the other mascots afterwards; 'now none of them are acting right' phone guy says. This maybe when Cassidy gets killed by Afton. The suit was used pre-shift according to Phone Guy so would have to have been used on the day shift like when the MCI occured. This means Cassidy was the last victim and because she died from the suit she haunts, the puppet couldn't give her a mask like we see in give gifts, give life. Golden Freddy ends the mini game because the fifth ghost doesn't get a mask but a spring lock victim wouldn't need one.

I honestly just don't think Mrs Afton suddenly appears for this piece of lore and never again. Especially in the original games. It doesn't make sense for the story, especially in the game that answers the most questions, to do this sort of thing. Imo, Michael on the couch and crying child running (as his character is exclusively seen doing in every appearance) makes more sense. I honestly think midnight motorist is to show William drunk, add context to his murder and the FNAF 2 scenes, etc. ESPECIALLY to continue retconning FNAF4's dream theory and show that the crying child would often behave in the real world as seen in FNAF 4 (assuming the FNAF 4 dream reveal retcon is true, and I mean, come on...) To solve the series at this point, the context of where the series was at during the time is extremely important. The couch dialogue was most likely Scott thinking people would be paying attention to different things and overlooking a small detail that misdirected the audience by mistake - which happens so damn often with this series.

I think that those are Golden Freddy's footprints, I think Michael saw him panicked or something and went to check out his brother's grave after he teleported away. His brother's grave still could be the mound, the distance between the mound and the camera wouldn't be able to show the footprints at that distance or Michael could have broken out right before William showed up at home. I think for the show Michael is the baby and that William/Vlad is disowning Michael and that causes the rift between him and the woman/wife. The fake ending has them reuniting but the real ending never shows that just like with the real Afton family never happily reuniting. I think SL takes place between 85 and 87. Freddy's was only a success before 85 but not after 87 or 93, William would have been aware of remnant after the Puppet and/or MCI, built the Funtimes and he may have sent Michael to free Baby knowing that it would put him in danger cause he hates his son, wanting him dead but missing his daughter.

13:42 Ok, but I have a question: Why is Bite Victim the same size as Michael? We see them both in FNaF 4, Michael is not the same size as BV, so if that _is_ Mrs. Afton, and those are BV and Mike, why are they both the same size? Personally, I believe there's another possibility: Mike, Elizabeth and BV are watching TV to escape the reality of their disfunctional family. Both figures are shrouded in grey, but the figure in the middle is shrouded in black, as a shadow, Purple in old games is associated with Shadows, it's why William Afton _is_ a Purple Man, he's clouded in shadows, and who is also a Purple Man? Michael. So personally, I think it's Mike, Liz and BV watching TV instead of Mrs. Afton, BV and Mike, as you say.

I mean it could just be simplicity to show two kids and adult, also I'm very hesitant to make theory's that focus on Elizabeth Prior to sister location, as World and 4 were written and planned to be the end. Scott does do retroactive continuity but I do think some images and concepts were made with specific take-aways. Plus by the same logic, why is Mike so much bigger than the other two? And different ages of kids grow at different rates. A 5 year old mike and a 3 year old BV would be similar scale, and while Mike is taller in 4 he's not impossibly taller, especially compared to adult sprites like the fredbear employee and William.

I will offer an explanation - the glass is broken from the outside. This is William who has brought the Golden Freddy/Fredbear suit out first. William then approaches the window, breaks it, and kills the child inside, or at least beats them to unconsciousness or close to death. He brings the child's body to the suit, and places the child in the suit. When the kid is placed inside, at some point springlocks falter, making an extreme mess of the child. We can see from the size of the footprints that they are not animatronics, but they are also not small child footprints. They are adult sized footprints, but there is another issue if this is the case - the number of footprints. The takeaway is that our character in the game does not make footprints, though possibly a limitation of the graphics or artistic choice to not cloud the number seen for investigation. The best interpretation I have is that due to the rain, only when significantly heavy enough (heavier than a single adult) does William make footprint marks in the mud - either when he is carrying the Fredbear suit, or when he is carrying the child. Then the marks are deep enough to be more visible. The reason or motive for this is two factor but either way works 1) To test the ability of the suit to hold souls. William found the suit possessed from him son, and could either a) want his son to have company, or b) want to test using the only suit he knows to have successfully been inhabited by this point. This makes sense for Golden Freddy having two souls either way. 2) This is simply what William has been doing to the kids, stuffing them in suits to hide bodies. With motive now understood, the next step is the burial mound. After murdering the child violently, William moves up to bury the suit in the mound. If 'CASE 1)' was true, then this is William not wanting to deal with the repercussions of the body but already gaining enough from the act in terms of information. Even if he wanted company for his son spiritually, he does not want any possible retaliation to occur. In 'CASE 2)', it's more likely that William was not expecting a Spring Lock failure, or at least not how messy it could be. It may have failed while carrying the suit away, but instead of bringing it back to his car he decides to bury it instead of bringing the horrible mess into his car as damning evidence. Regardless, William has reason to both kill and then bury the suit in the clearing for his own safety. This lines up well with Golden Freddy being an apparition in the games as well - this suit seems to have vanished, and appears as a ghost, because it is buried in a grave with angry souls seeking vengeance, different than the other suits. This also would entirely line up with Golden Freddy being seen as hunched over, writhing and locked up in the exact same pose that we see William in later when he is trapped in Spring Bonnie. The Spring Locks prevent any serious movement, and they would be unable to dig themselves out of the grave with only a child's body, and cannot project normal motions either. Midnight Motorist is not Orange Guy as William, but it is instead the tale of another one of Williams victims' father - just like all the other minigames in FNAF 6 Pizzeria Simulator are trying to show. The Orange Guy shares very few traits with William - William generally has much better posture, is seen as being in control of every situation, and ironically is not seen to be so abrasive or rash as Orange Guy. It is more likely that Orange Guy is simply the father of 'Cassidy' or whichever you like, and just like the other children that William targets, they are kids with difficult and sad/abusive lives. The crucial part for the difference of Orange Guy and William is their dialect. Instead of saying "Ran off to that place again. He will be sorry when he gets back," and enraged William would say "Oi bloody git buggered off again. Little wanker's lost the plot if he thinks he isn't in the doghouse when he comes back." I hope this clears this up and makes it verbally clear that they are not the same person. Midnight Motorist is very cryptic, and also very important, just like the significance of Golden Freddy. I think it is poetic justice that William ends up in the same Spring Locked demise as Golden Freddy - Fredbear and Spring Bonnie reunited once more, only that they become linked in their suffering and all refuse to die.

I actually really liked your ideas of Midnight motorst, what you introduced could make sense. While your idea of the three gray blobs could make sense, I would like to throw my hat in the ring for what those three gray blobs are. What if the dark gray glob could be William and watching tv with CC and Mike, I know it's a bit of a stretch but just hear me at. That sense could have taken place before anything bad happens later in the timeline, these could be both Mike's and CC's Happiest memories with their dad, and may even William's Happiest members. It's one of these rare times that Mike isn't bullying CC, they all just having a good time with William. all three hanging out together while watching and just enjoying the moment. But that just a theory.

I think we need a game for this mini game. I mean, in SB, FuhNaff finds glass in the secret room where Sun or DayCare Attendant comes from AND it has its noise as if it's important(HOLY SHT! WHAT IF "the runaway" SWEPT UP THE GLASS AND KEPT IT WITH HIM FOR ALL OF THESE YEARS XD But 4 y tho, if so?). So yes, why isn't there glass on the floor outside of the window and did the person in the chair not hear it, didn't bother to check thinking he just made a mess, or knew he ran away and lied because(if it is Mrs. Afton) she was fed up with everything and left it alone and swept up the glass before Willie A. got back? Well one thing is that they COULD'VE forgotten that detail or wasn't even thinking about it or something else. So many possibilities man! It gets crazy when anything is a lot more possible in a universe you're theorizing about than this universe where almost everything is possible, but because we don't know everything, anything has to be possible until we find out what isn't... If I were actively talking, I would probably be out of breath LMAO
