this is most stupid approach, sorry reddit brain. If you play meta build with expensive items, you are actually more rich, because you craft for yourself, can always sell for big money, you can sell your old items when you upgrade, you know the price of items and can snipe good deals etc. If you play non-meta you can't even find items usually and need to craft for yourself and then sell for 10x longer lol. And if your offmeta build uses meta items then you are just using expensive items to play worse build. Lose-lose.

I'm interested to see what they do with Boneshatter. With the quality changes to both weapons and armour, I suspect it to be really good even with the Determination aura nerfs. Slayer might have a more difficult time getting tanky enough early, but Unbreakable from Jugg seems super solid with a 5k armour chest piece. Can't wait for the livestream!

RF Chief is just so so good in leaguestart. RF was usually just a solid tanky pick but with low damage that was great for newer players. But the Chieftain version has such stupid clear with pretty much 0 budget its not even funny. It is my go to Leaguestarter when I want to farm Expedition/Blight to farm a week1 Mageblood. This league I also started RF (although I switched insanely fast to my 2nd build because I dropped a near perfect Ivory Tower that I 6l quickly) With about 30-50c gear on day2 of the league I was able to farm t16 oppenheimer expeditions in 5-10sec per expedition. Its just so so good for this type of content.

I tested Dan's Ball Lightning of Orbiting build up to yellows and its a fun build to play. Switched to Archmage really early with Firestorm. Got the Orbiting gem on my cruel lab and got an empower on my first map. Good build but wasted my league start rng on this test run.

I had a lot of fun in 3.24 using a BAMA necro. One of the best minion builds that ive ever played. I hope it survives. And the new transfigured version of holy relic too, just fun to use. I know many people complains about some minions builds and demands nerfs etc But minions do so much less damage compared to other meta builds.

I played Inq DDoCR, and never once used a specter (Ventrua's take on Rue's build). Not sure what you are talking about "specter micromanagement".

He's talking about making your specter pool high life t17 mobs I did all content on coc dd without the t17 specters but they do add alot of dps I also played cast when stunn simu farmer and don't need the specters on that build as the mobs in simu have capped life for dd

Im starting guardian SRS with soulwrest phantasms. I did a poison variant that was able to do everything in necropolis. A guardian variant with elemental penetration in both six links is going to go phenomenally.

Rf chieftain is arguably buffed as of rn but rf anything else is iffy rn for red maps and up due to armor changes and then getting gutted last league just fyi

I started exsanguinate miner trickster, then made impending doom (fshako build) but was unimpressed with it, ended up with a hexblast character that demolished all content in the game. I wonder if any nerfs happen to the "power charge set" that is badge, armor, shield, Ralakesh, Militiant Faith jewel and sometimes the wand. These items may as well be green, being the only "set" in path of exile, as they are always used in this combination and so many builds use this. The "set" got even stronger in 3.23 with ralakesh buff because you can add Maven belt into the mix and gain alternative charges while keeping maximum normal charges at all times.

To be honest, I did not play 3.24 at all. My PC fried towards the end of the 3.23 [this is why I never finished the Heist research]. I held out for it being fixed but no. I'm using a 15+ year old laptop currently which cannot run PoE [It can; however, run diablo 2 classic which I have been playing for my APG fix, I've got access to it via a legacy code on my account]. Waiting for the financial opportunity [read: payday] to get a new PC, hopefully will be able to play 3.25 on or shortly after leaugestart [depending on delivery time, other needs, ect] But from what I hear I did not miss much from 3.24.

Why didn't you mention Holy Relic with lancing steel of spraying? Although introduced late in the league, I feel that the build was insanely powerful with little to no investment. Another reason lancing steel seems to be the problem, not dd, etc.

Unironically, that 8% ms bandit choice gave me an idea and I came up with an ascendant version, which might beat the almighty tank god trickster. We'll see, leveling so far is smooth with scion ( never thought this would be leaguestartable). In endgame It looks like I'm gonna have more damage and speed, but less recovery and smaller pool. But as many would say, speed is the best defence.

All the non-bow meta builds do not at all click with me. So if we get additional buffs to melee offenses and defenses(multiplicative quality and blacksmiths change is a buff for leveling as well as endgame) bleed and gladiator i will for surely do some melee gladiator bleedsplosion build.

I played dd necro last league and it was cracked. Got my 17 completed, then went back to my starter, lightning arrow, and got my head Hunter. Then the economy collapsed and Elden ring dlc came out. So it was over for me, but both obviously felt good...

@@hamzahussain7794 for map blasting you can do siege ballista (poe guy has great guides). Cheap league start items and does solid damage. For spell totem i am not too sure, freezing pulse or ice spear maybe?

Archmage BLoO being strong can definitely be confirmed by anyone playing Mjolner this league - easily twice as much single target dps compared to Lightning Conduit, able to hit around 400 m dps with mirror tier gear. Still less popular than DD though, though i'd be surprised if archmage got nerfed while DD did'nt.

Mjolner Lightning Conduit of the Heavens is a king of speed clear as it just goes through everything on the map while you Lightning Warp around. I think my record was about 40 seconds for B2B T16 Canyon with 0 monsters left. (The best link for CWC to destroy barrels too). BLoO is the single target king, I totally agree with it.

@@Henbe_ it quickly gets hard to push conduit to deal enough damage in higher end content, it requires significant investment, so you can safely swap to Bloo and deal 5x damage in a smaller aoe with exactly the same setup

It's sad to see every league half of my clan members playing some starter they found online to be the best for a day and then just leaving the league because they get bored of the build and don't want to level another character or leaving on day 3 because their started guide ends in yellow maps and they have no idea what to do next.

People are still sleeping on PoEGuy's Siege Ballista Hierophant. That one destroys all content (except T17 on low gear) and is very cheap to get going on leaguestart. (Not SSF Friendly though)

Detonate dead made me quit last league in 2 weeks. It was the most god damn boring playstyle I've ever done in 3k hours of PoE. I'd advise everyone to try it out first to see if it's for you. Besides that, god damn what a sad state the meta is in, most of these starter builds are just so god damn boring.

@@divinityai why? Dual Strike of Ambidexterity is not even crazy strong, OP cluster nodes make it very strong. If you're taking in consideration Alkazier and his build, first of all, it is str stacker, and second, Alk is insane player. He can play whatever and it will look good. I recently watched Zero to Hero series from Exiled Cat (he played Dual Strike) and it really didn't look impressive at all. Boneshatter Jugg will do everything just better. I know that, because I recently started an SSF run with my Jugg just to test how it feels and how it farms Simus (I will leaguestart it, with the buffs it will be probably one of the best builds) and in comparison I could clearly feel that classic Jugg Zoner farms faster, has better clear, better survivability, etc. It is obviously true before Dual Striker specs into str stack, but classic Boneshatter has some interesting things to invest into aswell. So yea, I don't think Dual Strike requires nerf. Like at all.

Looks like its going to be a very tough league for POE. Most people will just skip and keep playing LE. GGG have a bumpy road ahead honestly I'm really surprised by the poor timing of the release, if it was released another month from now most people would have gotten bored of the new LE content by then. This release date seems short sighted by GGG and will cost them both population and money. Just from a media point of view all the headlines in the ARPG field are LE based, even on Ziz channel his LE videos have way more views than the videos based on this next POE patch, that would not be the case if this POE patch wasn't so poorly timed.

to anyone reading this crap - its pure bs. LE, while good, is just a temporary fix between poe leagues, and since the league itself comes out in a while, everyone will have their fill of LE, which has less than enough content to hold you for long. Progression is very slow and tedious, so most people will burn out long before poe release. Also LE takes all the spots rn because there are litreally no news to cover on poe. We have no new information, no patchnotes, we cant buildcraft, there is no leaguestart hype yet. The only poor timing in arpg we have now is corpo rats from blizz thinking its a wise choice to present their new class the same day 3.25 league presentation is.
