The latest version of the ChatGPT app already has built-in widget support, so you can simply add these 2 widgets on the lock screen instead of using the shortcuts app. It removes the step going through the shortcuts app and starts even faster. This was a great suggestion though, thank you so much for making this video!

I just say "Siri ask ChatGPT" and then it asks me what I want to ask. Ask my question and actual Siri voice responds with the ChatGPT made response. This is super helpful and doesn’t need to start a new session on the app itself, as it uses Siri directly to respond and then turn the screen off. So this way I have hands free ChatGPT whenever wherever.

And all this you just did is useful for what exactly, to play Trivia? Siri exists to make actions, open things, add data, configure things, send messages, call people... you cannot actually do anything with chatgpt but ask questions and hope, with some sort of luck, that it answer is right. Indeed, you should to confront the answer with a legitimate source to be sure it's right🙅‍♂ EXCELLENT tutorial though!

For the lock screen, you don’t need to do a Shortcut. ChatGPT has their own, native Voice conversation widget. 👌🏼

Siri seems to work well for making phone calls in the car , or getting the weather even when the phone is off , sometimes I ask Siri to take me home if im out somewhere in the car , sometimes it works , sometimes Siri wants to ask silly questions , if navigation initialises ok , on occasion as an after thought i have asked Siri to not use the tollway , Siri replies “ i cant do that “. If instead i use google navigation on my android Pixel phone and after asking it to take me home (which it automatically does without questions ) , while google navigation is already working , i can ask google to not use toll ways and it will immediately change the routes and verify no tollways . Yes Siri needs some work.

Siri wouldn’t need ChatGPT 4o to do the things that have been mentioned. There are plenty of models, like Mistral 7B, that run well on today’s iPhones, and that could easily handle it. Even some of the smaller 3B models could.

Unfortunately, the lack of asking ChatGPT to do anything feature related (schedule meeting, timer, homeKit,etc) makes it less useful for now In any case, the guide is great, thank you for that, I'm sure those that don't use Siri for regular iphone features and only need it to answer questions would find it extremely useful! That's not Siri a enhancement, it's switching Siri out with ChatGPT. I did that about 4 months ago. So nothing new here. Because Siri can make appointments, and I want to combine tasks and create if/this/then/that. ChatGPT is great for general questions but it can't read and write to your data unless you upload a document.
