Ok. I just ordered one and gave AJA props for sending me the Sirius site. A bit of background on me. I used to manage a new product test lab. The aluminum rail on this arrow spinner is what used to build automated cycle testers for things like hinges, cables, and latches. Our test results were combed over by engineers and the would put us through the wringer if we produced a failure they didn’t like. I think this arrow tester would pass their scrutiny. Thank you AJA for binging this tester to my attention.

Gotta love extrusion and the many uses for it. So glad more archery companies are adopting it. Last Chance arrow saw is made with it, the Coops Bowsmith spine tester as well along with a lot of other things.

You know what would be really cool? An arrow inspector that also doubles as a spine tester! After all, a spine tester is basically an arrow spinner with a 26" or 28" span, dial indicator at the center, and enough clearance for a hanging weight. Turns out you can build one of your own very easily and inexpensively. I found a pair of 3D printed arrow spinners with quality bearings on ebay for $20. You can buy T-track in just about any length you want, and then mount those spinners at 26" or 28"! Dial indicators are also easy to come by. Sure beats spending $150+ for an arrow spine tester.

Show what the difference would be with an arrow that doesn't spin well. If you get a dozen beaman white out only half spin test acceptable on my pine ridge. Would the Sirius show more failing a spin test. Would the Sirius cause you to reject more arrows than the pine ridge? I noticed considerable wobble at the end of bemans. I switched to black eagle and no wobble on all 12

I just purchased one to try it out, but the unit I recieved appeared used and dirty. The 3d printed plastic sections were a loose fit on the aluminum frame and the roller bearings were also loose and easily moved up and down. Also the bearings lose their momentum fast and have to be spun frequently to assess the arrow straightness. The aluminum film on the bottom of the unit was brown and almost seemed like someone dropped it in the dirt and stuck it back on...and processed a return... I am reaching out to the company to evaluate my options. I will let people know what happens..

I hear you but I just don't like the name Sirius, I'm a Christian and Sirius is the biblical morning star Lucifer, an ancient symbol of satanic worship. It gets strange when it comes to hunting if you've studied scripture and other ancient texts and beliefs because hunting was relative to pagan gods, even the realtree 365 symbol... Google realtree 365 and tell me you don't see 666 not to mention all the other occult symbolism within commercial hunting symbology. Off topic but thought it'd be worth a mention lol.
@feyrband3 жыл бұрын
How do you get Lucifer/morning star from the dog star that is Sirius? It's a greek reference (as is the case with most of their products) to Orion's hunting dog and constellation. Orion and Apollo being arrow shaft lines of theirs.
@twaho3 жыл бұрын
@@feyrband You being Sirius? You'll find it in Isaiah 14:12 Lucifer is the English translation, take it back to the original Hebrew, means shining one, also known as the light bearer. The majority of ancient cultures worshipped this star, even today in the new age. Research the Isis, Osiris, Horus story, Babylonian mystery schools, the ancient and current world has been structured around these beliefs, Isis/ Ishtar/ Diana of the ephesians represented by the cresent moon and the dog star, also being the idol of Freemasonry, as the statue of liberty, the light bearer(rebellion against God) represents. There's more than enough information out there for you if you want to know it 👍
