Love your video demonstration. Awesome job! That said, I would not recommend this product if anyone is planning on selling t-shirts or other washable products. With all the hype, Siser Easycolor DTV isn’t a replacement for sublimation ink printing what most KZbin Content Creators had stated. They’re pushing this product as if it is the answers for sublimation ink printing replacement, it’s not! The product is good but not that good due to short longevity after a few wash. And the cost? It is way overpriced for a product that will only last after a few wash. The manufacture cost per sheet to make is around $0.03, but the retail price is anyway between $1.70 to $3.30 per sheet -CRAZY! Anyhow, if anyone planning to use this product for selling t-shirts or other products that will require wash will not be fear to the buyer, they will be disappointed after serval washings and may never buy from you again. I can see Siser DTV would be good for any products that does not require washing or just a few times during the years, handbags, wooded plaques, canvas art work, book covers, hats, lampshades, stuff animals or dolls clothing, etc…. So yeah, I would highly cautious to reconsider before investing and compare your other low cost options that will provide longevity on most materials. Again, this is for those who are sellers and your reputation is the key to success 😎

Hi Angie. I did purchase the Siser Easy Color DTV and pressed my first 2 shirts. Before I pressed, I did see a few reviews where people ended up in the rain and the color was dripping from their shirts. I wore the shirt I pressed last night. While making, it printed awesome, no issues weeding and no issues transferring. All was good until I spilled some water on my shirt. It had water spots on my dad's face. I washed it and alot of the color did wash out on first wash. I had another shirt that I added the Easy Color on and threw in the dryer hoping that would set the ink. No, it didn't. As soon as it came out of the dryer, I put some water on it and sure enough, the ink was dripping from the second shirt. Wondering what you did different. I used an HP 7100 printer.
@AngieHolden Жыл бұрын
I saw someone say to wait like 72 hours after pressing? I don't think I waited that long though!
@PAndrew002 Жыл бұрын
@@AngieHolden I reached out to Siser and they said to use the plain paper setting. I honestly cannot remember if I used the plain paper setting or not. They also recommended to wash it first and let all of the color bleed out before wearing. That seems as though I will lose alot of the color but did a test today and will wait 24 hours as Siser recommended and see what happens. I will report back.
@AngieHolden Жыл бұрын
Please do! They do say plain paper setting. I remember that!
@PAndrew002 Жыл бұрын
@@AngieHolden Ok, so I waited 72 hours instead of 24. I put it through a quick wash today. Have not dried it yet. I do have to say that the color does look good and actually better than before I washed it. I'm impressed with the image. Except...the HTV did bubble up in a couple of places. It may be that the material I put it on shrunk. But, the image is much better than I anticipated. I was ready to take this HTV off of my list but I think I will give it another try. Suggest that the fabric it is being put on is washed and dried before application to avoid the bubbling.

I made a t-shirt using Siser DVT and love the way it looks and feels! However, I don't think I pressed it correctly and some of the design corners are lifting. Is there a way to re-press it? I tried just using my Cricut Heat Press, but the hole design stuck to my butcher paper!

I use a teflon sheet over it and repress. Be sure to peel it off when hot though!

Would applying heat to the vinyl AFTER the multiple washes possibly help with the longevity of the product? Also, it appears that products such as this, would create an issue for those who sell their creations? How do you justify, to the customer, that the longevity and durability of any apparel will have a limited lifespan?

I agree with you. I would not use this product to make and sell items. A waste of money and materials for such a limited life span.

I am not sure if applying heat would help. I would doubt it. If you are selling your items, looking into products that require more investment is fine. I cover several of those on this channel. However, I also need to cover products that are intended for a home crafter.

@@AngieHolden I appreciate that you do cover so many products, that is why I follow you. This product has potential for personal items, I hope that something like this continues to improve. Maybe, eventually, this product will improve in longevity.

Thank you for this tutorial Angie! Do you think that maybe if you use a heat press instead of an easy press, the color will last longer, through more washes, since there is more pressure applied? I've heard that it's supposed to last about 50 washes. Have you tried the product with a heat press yourself?

I can only say what I saw after 15 washes.

Just ordered some! This seems to be thinner than EasySubli.
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
I would definitely say thinner.

I wonder will it hold up after many washes like the HTV.

I did a wash test in the video.

How does this compare to Starcraft transfers for dark materials?
@AngieHolden Жыл бұрын
Depends on what you are referencing. Their heat transfer paper only lasts a few washes. I think they also have a printable HTV and it would be fairly similar.

@Angie Holden Also, thank you for the reply!

Okay, can you use a sublimation printer on this product to print the design? I might think this would be a way to sublimate on a cotton product.
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
I would use their EasySubli product for sublimation. This product is not made for sublimation.

What if u dont dry it? What wore it out? The washing or the dryer do u think?
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
I think a combination. You will probably get a little longer life without a dryer.

Angie, I wonder if after 15 washes you went back and heat pressed it again - it would be worth a try?
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
You could try? It would not help the cracking though!
@shirleantoran68122 жыл бұрын
I was just thinking the same thing. Try heat pressing again.

Siser said in one of their many lives that you could re-press it when it started to crack.
