I just recently discovered Sissel on KZbin. All that I can say is -- I Love You Sissel !!! Truly God Has Sent To Us One Of His Angels -- Full Of Charm, Beauty And Grace -- Accompanied By The Voice Of A Heavenly Choir --To Share His Gift Of Music With Us !! Surely she gives us the answer for ALL of mankind's needs in this song, "You'll search and you'll search but you'll never find, any way on earth to gain peace of mind. Take your troubles to the Chapel (God), get down on your knees and pray - then your burdens will be lighter, and you will surely find the (His) Way !!" As she notes in her "talk" for this video, "If you can not find peace within yourself, you will not find it any place else". So true - how many search EVERYWHERE else, only to NEVER find it at all !!! I pray with ALL of my heart that she has discovered THIS Way for herself !! As she sings in another of her truly memorable and unique performances, "Oh Happy Day - when Jesus washed all of my sins away". How true,if we cannot find peace in side ourselves,we will never find it elsewhere--very simple and missed by almost all. I remember Sissel mentioning about the death of her friend many many years back.Sissel never forgets.And that says volumes about a wonderful human being. You are right, that we can't find peace anywhere if we are not peace for ourselves. Crying in the Chapel remains me when I was depressed and asked Him to help me out from the hardship. He helped me, with Him every thing is possible.

One finds peace oddly enough by sitting in the city centre with people & vehicles in constant motion with the intention of relating to people so much as possible in ways that will make their lives happier. Kind of odd insofar as he's not a particularly good person. Perhaps what sets him apart a bit is that he's suffered mental illness most of his life with quite a bit of stress & depression. There comes a point where one can recognise these things in others. Singing was something that got him through the youthful years & Sissel's experience was obviously similar in some respects. He never had the grief of the tragic loss of a friend but was always 'different' & so had some pain. Listening to Sissel is always a delight.

She has stayed focused on what is really important: all those & things that were there in her formative years and she's remained close to them.
