30 years ago one retired & found a space in which to follow his innermost desires. Taking a year of solitude to slow down, in a sense to "zero," he was able to shake off "civilization" & restart his life. This has ultimately led to a point where much of his focus is on the Eternal & a reaching for this destination by way, to a significant degree, of Sissel's song.

Thank you sooo much. I discovered this song today, what is quite late, and I am so magic-nized 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 And the lyrics are not only religious, they are deeply spiritual, because really, that, was god is, is Stillness, pure Awareness ❤️

I love and enjoy your music so much and I was in Salt Lake City when you did slow down. Yes I was one of the 18,000 that stood up after you finished. It was so beautiful and touching. That you so much.

Sissel, l caught ye! That priceless time you call "when you have nothing to do" and which gave you so " much energy" was actually a period of important latent work by nature! In modern language it may sound as "charging storage batteries of vitality". You followed your "inner voice", worked in the garden, walked barefoot on the grass and absorbed the energy of the Earth, the vitality of the forests that surround you, the warmth of the sun. I am sure this "idle" period which gave you "so much energy" will be the source of your inspiration and songs for months to come!

I don't know how she edited this to be a different version but I'm amazed that she did another rendition of this and I'm so glad she did! ! I say I don't know how she did it because this version of her singing it is different from the concert one. I will NEVER forget when i first heard this last summer! I struggle with severe depression, anxiety and chronic suicidality. The last few weeks before the pioneer day concert, i desperately wanted to be done with my life and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I will never forget how frozen i was to the floor when i first saw this sitting from the second row. I literally saw myself as the only one in the room with Mack telling the choir, "Make this really strong for Will everyone! He has really been in the dark and he needs us so desperately right now!"

2019 performance -- This was not JUST a "performance". It was a ministration by God - with His Spirit working through a yielded vessel who was pleased to allow Him to use the tremendous, other-worldly gift and talent that she was given so that God might express His Love and Peace to a hurting, broken world !! Listen to her voice - perfect in tone, pitch and cadence - drawing you into that STILL, quite place. Look at her face - the embodiment of peace, calm, love and joy. See how she uses her body-language and the gestures of her hands to calm, soothe and direct. Throughout the song, but especially at the end with her hands folded over her heart in prayer - she is transcended into the song and into the presence of God, beckoning all who are there to come join her. God is beckoning to ALL who will hear, "Come, be still before me, find the peace that you yearn for, and KNOW that I am God!!" This "Spiritual Journey" was NOT lost on the orchestra, choir or the audience in attendance. They may not have known EXACTLY what it was that they had just experienced, but they DEFINITELY knew that it was something that transcended everyday experience. They reacted by the standing ovation that they honored Sissel with !!

Dear Sissel, your message this morning was wonderful. It was also a surprise, the best surprise I could have had! I, too live so differently. I’m just so sad. Have deep troubles in family, something I would have never guess would ever happen. I have watched the KZbin when you sang in Utah. Saw your intense feelings that song gave you. All that watched you sing “Slow Down” felt what you felt. I think all had tears. It’s beautiful and no one could sing it better! I was tricked into not being able to go to Utah, my heart is still full of anger. As I work today on a project, I will listen to your song. It will help me. This is so generous of you to share. I deeply thank you!

People have to understand what makes them happy and how hard they need to work to achieve it because everyone should enjoy their life and the very wealthy people they all die just like us but they think they won the game of life with the largest bank account. The one thing that a lot of them do not understand if they should put smiles on peoples faces as they go through life because that’s the most gratifying thing one can do
