Sister cities are two different cities, often in different countries, who work closely together to improve both of their trade, tourism, culture, etc... In this video you'll find out how sister cities came to be, some of the examples that I like, and how I can use it to escape exile! (for sure this time!)

My town in northern France was liberated by british troops during the second war, so it is twinned with a british city, there is a red phone Booth, a mural of british soldiers, a british bench and every year there are british and french flags crossed everywhere in the streets and some royal guards come to assist to ceremonies organized here

I just found out that a sister city of my hometown is one called Tivoli, Italy, which coincidentally thats the town i have started my current run in CK3. So you can say the twinning was a good one.

We have one with Tōbetsu Hokkaido in Japan and Leksand in Sweden. We put up some Japanese clothes and they made Sweden hills wich you can look up on Google, it looks exactly like a Swedish city. They also have Dalarnas (where leksand is) folk costume and they practice our traditions. It’s almost creepy how much it feels like a Dalarna town.

regional towns in australia put up signs about being sister cities with towns in japan that I've never heard of, and these towns usually have a nice japanese garden built by some japanese gardeners. Nice to know japan just gives out japanese gardens to lots of different countries, they're always fairly popular places for locals and tourists alike.

One of the funniest groups of cities I've encountered is the alliance of a bunch of cities named "Neustadt", I think it's like 30 or so cities that just have that one thing in common

two different cities - St John's, Canada is sister cities with Waterford, Ireland which is cool and also makes lots of sense. In London (Canada) you are partenered with Nanjing, which is really cool and nixe. There were plans too for a town in Haiti to become a sister city of us

My city’s collaborations with it’s twin cities mainly focus on (steel) industry, arts, schooling and sports. We have regular exchanges between students and sport teams, are each other’s main providers when it comes to materials, and such. We build one of the first train-tracks together :)

As someone from Paderborn, I can confirm that our relationship with Le Mans is still intact (eventhough it was a little difficult in 1871-1949). By the way we are also sister cities with Bolton(UK), Belleville(USA), Debrecen(Hungary), Pamplona(Spain) and Przemyśl(Poland).

My home city, La Laguna in Tenerife Island (Spain) definetly broke the 1st Key of Succes... TWICE. My city is twinned with Sao Paulo (because Joseph of Anchieta, a missionary borned in La Laguna, was the founder of the brazilian city) and with Miami (I don't know why)
